I have good news for everyone. ?
When I enabled hdr+ I can now take a photo through the pink raster. 3/10 times it's jagged. 6/10 times it crashes. 1/10 times I get a perfect hdr+ photo. Same goes for portrait mode on back camera. Front camera hdr+ and portrait mode is perfect ?

Latest version of gcam ...hdr+ still not working...
Looks like its our fate....never to have the working mod for our device:crying:.

Guys, the only way we can get GCam to work on the rear camera is to urge one of the developers (highwaystar, mike, ...) to port the camera camera blobs from another device that allows raw images from the rear camera. This is really the only option.

I'm on Oreo 8.1 but still can't get front camera to work properly...It still produces a greenish tint.
Can anyone tell me the problem..why does it only work in stock 7.0?

As everyone knows lenovo p2a42 doesn't support Google camera hdr+ in rear cam and that is due to faulty camera drivers which doesn't support camera 2 api correctly so please come and tag some good developers who can develop a modified camera driver like this which support camera 2 api level_3 and Google cam We have to tag some ROM developers to bring correct modified drivers for our camera that support camera 2 api correctly just like this one we have to develop some for our phone

If anyone knows please tag some good developers for our Lenovo p2. We can take Redmi note 4x camera drivers which has same lens as we have.

@Arnova8G2 cheers mate i can confirm that hdr+ on rear cam is now working on our Lenovo p2a42 without any drivers update in your latest beta build after you added hardware level_full support as i have already told you that rear camera doesn't works on portrait mode and hdr+ but front camera works perfectly , in the latest build hdr+ works on rear camera , portrait mode is also improved as it now shows some images instead of pink screen , but front camera portrait mode is too bright now it was best in the previous build, I think we are almost there please update some more and you can give us perfectly working gcam for our Lenovo p2a42 attatching images for your info, the one with deo is with hdr+ and the one with bike is of portrait mode ,please someone taste the latest beta build and provide a logcat to him I think we can achieve it soon ?
