@Arnova8G2 ..please try to make portrait mode work for 8.1 oreo on our device.....it still gives the yellow tint in the front camera...

I have taken some great snaps using latest camera app ..but I wanted to test it on dotos too ,but the same app with same settings caused green tint ..

I couldn't understand why it happened ..tweaked many settings ,but no use ..

Flashed 8.1 pixel experience ROM ,and same green tint issue on front camera ..

Flashed back los by argya ( previously it worked in this ) now this rom too had given me green tint ..


Finally I flashed stock deodexed ROM ,made sure my camera is working fine with HDR and all ..and flashed camera 2 api enabler ,then installed latest version again .. and the same green tint issue again and again ..


Damn ,what wrong could I possibly be doing ..I am not getting idea ..

@Arnova8G2 please add support for our beloved device in your latest ports, atleast for the android 8.1 rom variants.
The device got new life with new oreo roms (AOSIP and LOS 15.1), camera is the only thing that is not satisfying. Just making hdr+ and portrait working in gcam for our p2a42 would be awesome. None of your previous instructions and ports works.

For the front camera, I can solve the hue if your code name is good P2a42
is for the pink raster bug, test to find the Raw compatible with your device and the RAW that works with the hdr +

Maybe cause of this ..it doesn't work...if we are not in stock our codename is kuntao and not p2a42

No that's incorrect. Front cam works. It's back cam black levels or whatever it is that needs fixing. Not the codename

while i am on 8.1 no camera mod of Arnova worked, when i am on 7.1.2 front camera worked good.. but all of a sudden it is giving me green tint images ..why does this happen ?

i am having Redmi 4x the camera works super fine on that phone.. but people there use MGC rather than Arnova's port..
may be we must try all camera mods and search for the better working one..

You can try whichever mods you want. None of them are going to work.

If you are interested in drastically better low light pics and color reproduction you can use my Moto Camera 2 (not 1) port linked below.
Not even flash works, it's way beyond my skills to make a proper port out of it. Also it need its magisk module cause the encrypted config files for all I know, can be deciphered but not altered with another phone's name.
Still, the Motorola algorithms are miles ahead anything else running on the P2 and they work here. Just keep using another camera app for anything else than a simple photo w/o flash.
