I am on MIUI 12 Eu and I have no problems on Burial or onFire for crashes.

Search for perfection never ends, so my latest Ultimate XML for Mi Note 10 is here :)
Burial lib is TN2505 which I liked it especially for reds indoor. More decreased luma values to further increase the details. Sharpness from 1.125 to 1 to have similar very low noise as Ultimate 2.2. Small tonecurve changes. Other parameters same as Ultimate 2.2. So it is good for color fidelity, very low noise on any light, and now higher details

PS. Although TN2505 on Burial is a very nice lib, I suggest you to manually change it to default lib on ultrawide lens because it gives darker photos there

On screen colour

I have been wondering, why the colour on screen (viewfinder) is different from the actual picture taken? On screen it's always brighter and more saturated. It would be nice if what I see is what I will get, so I can tweak the exposure compensation accordingly.

Is it a general bug with gcam?

I still find onFire better in term of versatility and quality.

OnFire crashes from me all the time, on stock Android 10 global rom.
Got the same issue as you @MacGuy2006, right after the perms are being set it crashes (I got to see that it says 'sound setting is ON' or something like that).
Going to try another port, which one would be the "best" one, or at least the more "complete"? Any opinion? Just trying things out on my new phone and after reading every post in this thread I thought onFire would be the one, but I'll have to wait to try that one apparently :crying:
BTW I'm on MIUI Global 11.1.1

HW+ or HW+ enhanced

This was taken by Urynx 1.8 + config in attachment.
I'm very satisfied, approaching entry DSLR grade picture.
Definitely, very impressive! Would be even better if a full resolution sample is uploaded :D

I am on the fence on this phone. When you take photos, do you use HW+ or HW+ Enhanced? I see online that enhanced take several seconds to take one photo, and other than static scene will not be useful.

Go to burial beta 4 or to urnyx 1.9 if onfire crashes (we should understand why: I'm on 11.1.1 as well and all found smoothly here).
You can find them both on celso website:

Always HDR++ when possible, even low/med frames (9/10) but HDR++, then anytime you've moving scene use "standard" HDR

Ah i see! How is the "standard" HDR compared to HDR++ and stock camera? I only seen HDR++ samples. Interested in capturing pets and kids mainly.
If you shoot a landscape with HDR++ switched off, of course, you loose the sense of using Gcam.
But for moving scene the results are definitely hundred times better then stock cam.
Stock (poor) software have many many bugs.
Surely it handle the moving objects in a bad way but also it needs so many time between each shot...
With kids you usually take many pics and one or some will be good.
But with stock if you try in 10 seconds to shoot as faster as your fingertips can you get 3 pics at most.
With most of Gcam, without HDR++ of course, you get probably at least 10 pics.
And details are better the stock anyway!!!

yes but since hdr+ enhanced needs more time, you must really be still. in real life situations, it may result in bad photos, really often. am i wrong? if you have a tripod it is another story obviously.
and you also lose the moving images am i right? for me i use hdr+ (not enhanced). really dont know how much i am missing. but i am loving these movin images so....

In my testing I've found the stock cam mostly produces better HDR results compared with Gcam HDR+. Sometimes Gcam HDR+ will produce a slightly nicer result - on sunsets for example - but mostly I've found the MIUI Stock cams HDR to be faster and much better in terms of overall exposure

Did anyone managed to capture 4kb60p videos ?
You can enable this on many gcam ports, but it doesn't work.... At least on my mi note 10 pro
Nope, no 4k60fps on Mi Note 10 due to chipset perfomance, no matter which app you try, it's hardware limitation.

Gcam mod are made to fit differents smartphone, some features will not work on MN10. A real additional feature which last version of Urnyx05 or Burial add is to shoot on 1080p 60fps with EIS. This mode is not available with the stock one.

Hi any chance to have slowmotion work? All modes work good so far. Only slowmo Is missing.
Another detail with RAW format. With stock CAM about 50mb but really too much noise.
With gcam Port like onfire RAW files about 20mb. Why? There is some compression?

Thank you for your insights. As long as the Gcam HDR+ is better than the stock camera, that is great news. How much better than stock would you say??

While I understand the best photo can be obtained by HDR++ (ie. enhanced), the several seconds it takes to capture photo AND the additional seconds to process the photo are deal breakers. This will be a really frustrating photo taking experience to have the subject matter to freeze a few seconds for every shot. Also, forget about asking someone else to take a photo as everyone will hit the shutter and start giving you the phone back. Try to explain to them to hold the phone for several seconds more ...
