Im sorry, Actually I reseted my phone and the camera2api reseted as well. I had to re-enable it, and it works fine now.

This is because that version will work on only in pie.

In camera Settings > Saturation > Front Camera > Change Highlight to 0.8 & Shadow to 1.4

You can try reducing the values further as per your requirement.

Changing package name in AndroidManifest.xml not working for me either
Error during apk compile - "brut.androlib.AndrolibException: brut.common.BrutException: could not exec (exit code = -1073741515)"

There is a solution on github

I'll post the update ASAP.

Installed it. Worked fine for a few minutes, then stopped working again. Only one photo in portrait(back camera). Rebooted the device. Still not working. What should I do?
