Gear 360 Manager App on Note 4?

I use an S4 and can connect to it with all the tools/updates from this thread.
I can browes the files but cannot copy them, nor stitch them and live view doesnt work.
The stitching starts but at around 72% it just stops and i see the unstitched file again. The same happens when saving or sharing these files.
Live view makes my screen go black and than after a couple of minutes make the app crash.

Yes the Gear360Manager-Mod-16062016.apk, i also downloaded the file form the topic start which doesnt have a date in the file name (Gear360Manager-mod.apk). Is that a better version?

Perhaps try each version and maybe one would work better for your device. But I believe the latest version is going to be the best one yet.

For live view, did you make sure that you are on the camera WLAN? I had this issue when I was connected to my home network instead of the cameras network.
For the rest I would need some logcat to see what's happening.

Enabling High Res video on S6

Hi Bin4ry,

Great work on helping out those without Notes/S6/S7's!

I was wondering if it would be possible to kill the limit Samsung opposed to S6 users (and possibly others); when converting the 360 video stream it gets downscaled from 3840x1920 to 1696x848. I realise this means longer processing but the reduced size is imho totally useless. S7 users are able to stay at full res.

In regards to bug reporting, I'm on a Note 4 and the live preview works fine as well as access to all settings. Recording works fine. 360 Preview of recorded 360 video works fine. Only when I try to save a 360 video does the app crash. Hope this helps.

It looks more like the Note 4 is using a reduced framerate for the preview of recorded 360 videos that are still on the camera. Seems reasonable in order to save bandwidth over bluetooth.

Awesome. Looking forward to an update! I also have a firmware update for the Gear 360 camera pending. To your knowledge, does your camera app work with this latest Samsung firmware?

I installed your program on my Note 4. (Sprint - Android Version 6.0.1)
It is working perfectly, the live view looks fine with no skipping or blurring.
I'm going to keep playing with it, testing the share function and everything else.

Just came from the Galaxy 8 release event at Lincoln Center. They have out the new 360 cams as door prizes.

Looks great, but my Note 4 just balks at launch.

Any help is appreciated!

BTW, the 8plus looks sweet, but narrow. The virtual desktop (connect directly to a monitor) is an awesome idea that was long overdue. Both Galaxies are narrow and light. Release in April. Rumor for the next Note is Fall.

Great work you've done to support the older phones and the original Gear 360.
I have a note4 and a shiny new 2017 Gear 360 I just got yesterday. I'd love to be able to use it. I'll stand by to test and provide feedback
