Aaantonn thanks for answer me about guidelines of rear view camera.

I'm curious with what production date they send HU to me.
When i receive it, first thing i'm gonna disassembly it and check :) because my should be with fan and with control of fan. But of course it could be truth, same as android 12 :)

Still waiting for anyone who can, say more about my question.

I had a question, after updating the system, the voice assistant crashed, and the second time the same code does not enter, it writes the code has already been used. The seller has not responded. Can this be fixed or do I need to buy a new code?

I read on one forum that this K706 system is very bad and, if possible, you don’t need to buy it, but choose another one. But honestly, after updating the system, I have no complaints and I don’t see what is wrong with it, the components are good, it works quickly. The author directly vehemently argued that it was necessary to take another, but it seems to me that this is all nonsense, it's just that the author is not competent.

Just curious, where to buy direct from Jitu? On alibaba they make only wholesale. But the S8 unit is cheaper ca. 90USD
Yes Alibaba, you can buy a sample..so just one...new in box. but they charge 30 dollar express costs and tax for your country on top of it....you can avoid tax when you are a company.

Indeed unit does what I want, Sygic navi, Agama car launcher, radio, music and see F1 tv pro when on the road due work 😁

Author is worried about security and want things above normal buyers of this unit, this with respect ..but for the money this unit performs very well ...

Android Auto doesn't seem to work for me, either via USB or Wireless. For anyone who has it working, what steps did you take to do it?
Anyone? How is it supposed to work? When I connect my phone via USB, and open the Android Auto app on my phone, nothing happens on the head unit or my phone. When I pair my phone via Bluetooth to the head unit, the Android Auto app on my phone says that a wireless connection is available, but nothing happens on the head unit or my phone.

Update: My CarLetter app doesn't have the Android Auto logo like I'm seeing the "tutorial" says I should have. Update: Nevermind, I figured it out. It's very unintuitive.

I decompiled one of the Launcher APK's ("Gradiant Black", it's the 4th launcher from the left). These should be fairly tweakable to modify some of the underlying functionality. Nova or another launcher is obviously an option, but I like that the built-in launchers embed Navigation on the launcher screen.

Some details: The apps for Navi, DVR, ODB, and TPMS on the embedded home screen are not hard-coded per-se, they're mapped to system props which contain the target package name.
  • Navi: persist.sys.maps
  • DVR: persist.sys.dvr.app
  • ODB: persist.sys.obd.app
  • TPMS: persist.sys.tpms.app
You can change the contents of the property (via setprop) and embed any app you want in the home screen.

For the media playback widget, it keeps track of the last audio source in "persist.sys.qf.last_audio_src", and contains one of the bluetooth media, local media, or third party media player package names. Whatever the last audio source being played was, it controls via the widget.

  • Навигация: persist.sys.maps
  • Видеорегистратор: persist.sys.dvr.app
  • ODB: persist.sys.obd.app
  • TPMS: persist.sys.tpms.app

You can also go to System settings - APP - launcher (which is currently installed) and open it. You will have a choice of this launcher in different colors, you can choose a car of a different color, I don’t like yellow, like a taxi)

For whom that's interested and is annoyed that display time is out of sync with atomic network clock time.

Myself don't use 4G network, but WIFI hotspot from phone.

Each time when I opened the GPS test app, time changed and was out of sync by 2 to 4 minutes, also when I forgot to put hotspot on my phone on, after that it was taken the GPS time sync by default after startup,
So first taken my right hotspot network time and changed 30 seconds later to the out of sync GPS time and was also out of sync with my OEM Opel board computer display.
Think this is also a bug, because it should take network time by default and not GPS, only when network not available it should do that, but ones it is taken by GPS it always takes GPS and changing the time regardless if network already sync the time.
With some hassle I could changed that back but needed to be sure that hotspot was always on before starting the car.

Think I found a solution.

Note, I don't use sleepmode, always have a fresh cold start, unit starts up with firmware date and time, 09-01-2023, 12:05:54.

After going in the factory 5544 GPS setting and changing the server SUPL host to supl.google.com, left port on 7275, then next on bottum information page changed satellites to GPS, Glonass, Galileo my problem disappeared.

My unit refreshing time now after a startup within 1 second of atomic clock, with or without hotspot.
The AGPS SUPL was using the Chinese host (supl.qxwz.com) and preferred some Chinese satellites for Glonass and Galileo or my changes did some corrections in de supl.xml in the firmware by changing the host/ preferred satellites.

BTW this AGPS is using server unencrypted without certificates, can't find any certificate in firmware for encrypted connections, so rather Google then the Chinese that follows me ;)
Thank you for this info. Indeed, this helps the annoying wrong time when I start the device.

If your Car Letter doesn't have Android Auto logo...means your phone is not connected.
I don't use it, only tried it to see how it looked.

Normally it should automatically connect when you connect your phone with usb cable.
Nothing to be done on your phone...assume you tried in Androud Auto on phone to connect to a car, does it show nothing?, mean the blue connect button to add car, on bottum of page you also have wireless Android Auto off or on setting, you have that on or off ?

So hard to say what your problem is...cable, Android Auto on your phone, a setting?
You running latest firmware...updated Android auto on phone and HU?

You also don't see anything happening in your phone?, my phone gives notification when it tries to connect.

Regarding the cooling of the radio, if you do not have it automatically.
I found three options:
1) Connect the fan through the amplifier wire and turn it on for the summer, turn it off for the winter. If you have an on-off button in the program. The advantage is simplicity.
2) We connect the fan through the thermostat KSD-01F 50-60 degrees. Glue the thermostat either to the processor or to the amplifier, let one of the wires go first to the thermostat, and from the thermostat to the fan. The advantage is that the thermostat is cheap, the fan works automatically without any programs, once done and forgotten forever!
3) We connect the fan through the amplifier wire, download the AutoFan application (the application is paid, it costs about $ 10)
In the application, we set the on-off temperature. The application works in the background. Plus in the ease of use, the minus is that it is not known whether the program will work on your system.
Share information if you tried to do something from the list.

I can agree now that stock fan is crap ..after a month it starts to make noise when starting the unit, like bearings without grease.
Fan is not suitable for very cold condition in my area...when car gets warmer noise disappears.

So will order the better fan also...

I also decided to order a Sunon MC35101V1-000U-A99 12v, but I have a specific size of 35-35-10.

Well Blue One already mentioned that the Sunon will fit MF35101V21000UA99, 35x35x10, this is a low noise, but the stock fan was also low noise in my car....but fan can' t stand the cold, below zero degrees and the humidity that it is causing in the car....hope the unit can handle it better...🤔

Ordered 2, just in case...but now I need to take HU out..that will be hard...

This Sunon is 7500 rpm, so i just wonder, is it not to loud?. I'm just wonder to mount something bigger like 60x60mm low noise / low rpm. In my case i have to connect amp blue wire to antena separator (adapter from 2x Fakra to DIN)
The idea with KSD-01F is quite good, but as Aaantonn said, it should be glued (thermo glue) direct to processor. Maybe it'll be better to glued some kind of small radiator to processor, and the thermostat on radiator. I guess also, when selecting a thermostat, it should be check the temperature amplitude in normal use

I can hear the fan if the head unit is outside the dashboard but in normal installation I can't hear it. Temperature controlled would be better ofc.

Don't bother @blue_one. Jumping in to a thread that exits for over 2 months and bash the thread starter is not something an intelligent person would do. We all know who started the thread and who we should thank for this thread and it insights 😉.

Hi all, if anybody would like to test a very early alpha version of NavRadio(basic), they can find it here:
    Download NavRadio BASIC for QF01

it's incomplete, full of bugs, it surely crash here and there but still usable.
I have enabled Google Crashlytics to help me debug all the crash and ANR so more people use it and more i'll fix it.

The full version will come when the free version will run smootly.
    Enjoy;)

    NOTES:

    - Autoscan is done by MCU and it's fixed to 18 stations. Anyway you can use Autoseek function to find more stations or add new ones to the existing ones.
    - The first frequency at startup need to be fixed.
    - Sometimes you can hear the sound muting for a second, it's because the ROCO service think that navradio is a player and not a radio. I'll look for a fix later on..

    Guys another good news:
Today I've got the radio audio output from NavRadio+ working.
So the most problematic parts of the porting are solved.
Now it's just a matter of time to add the seek and autoscan functions and to fine tune everything.
I'm pretty happy for the progresses:)

    Hi guys,
I just wanted to let you know that the porting of NavRadio+ on this units is going better than expected.
I already can change frequency, receive RDS data etc.. i can't control the audio focus right now but I'll figure it out sooner or later.
I'd like to ask you some questions:

    1. Have you ever seen, on the original app, the RDS text broadcasted by radio stations with song name or other infos? Not the name of the station.
    2. How do you set LOC or DX in the original app?
    3. Do you think the AF and TA function work well on the original app?
Thank's to anyone who reply ;)

The flash was successful. Only the HU indicates that I have 6GB and that should be 8, so no idea why, but think it has always been 6. If you open the HU, you can also see that there is a sticker on it with the data of the device, there you also see 6 + 128GB, so the same story as android 10 (fake12) Direct update to 20230414 did not work (again a checksum error, but was able to do a full reset) so I updated the HU in steps with the *major" updates with auto update, that went well. Recovery procedure was easier than I thought, with some more extensive explanation from Vėžys, so thank you @Vėžys 🙂 Glad I have a well-functioning HU to update it again, thanks to the people on this forum 👍😊

I uploaded a "FIXED" version now:

    Hello all,

it seems that there are some QF001 owners out there but not much informations. So i will try to collect everything and put it at one place.

The original manufactor is shenzhen jitu technology co. ltd.

These units are sold from Ossuret, Hizpo and other brands. This are the sellers specs:
    specs.JPG

The Android 12 is fake which is Android 10 in reality.

I have the 8/128GB Version myself:
    Screenshot_20221129-085346.png

Codes for the factory settings menu:

Different firmware versions are inside this thread. Take care of the right MCU file and beware that clear user data is enabled by default on update. There is also a dedicated firmware thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...s-with-uis-7862a-7862s-not-fyt-based.4541261/

Dedicated thread for gaining recovery access: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...uret-s4-s8-uis-7862-headunits-no-fyt.4538107/

Beside the faked Android 12 Version the head unit seems to be a good bang for the buck. I´ve paid around 230 Euros including VAT and shipping. The unit runs stable and powerful so far. Everything works as expected. The Android is a bit downcutted by the manufactor. There are no text notifications in the statusbar e.g. But i can compensate that with widgets.

Against the description android auto works wireless with my Xiaomi Mi10t pro. So that's also nice to have.

    Tweaks, mods and others:
    - my wire harness was labeled wrong. Key 2 and Key GND were swapped. So better check the cables before connecting. For me the correct wire names/functions were in the printed manual.

    - replacement fan that fits my model: Sunon MF35101V21000UA99

    - there's a sleep whitelist in the factory settings menu that prevents apps from being killed in standby mode (ignition off). That's very useful. I've whitelisted Google maps e.g. and don't lose my programmed route anymore if i turn off the engine for a short stop.

    - tasker trigger for warm boot: detect any USB device connected. (You have to plug in something into the usb port, dashcam or pendrive e.g.)

    - the status bar only shows a few symbols and no text notifications. Therefore I use a notification widget in combination with nova launcher. This way I can see all notifications in a widget which would be at the status bar originally.

    - wireless ADB is enabled by default with root user. 🎉 The port is 9876. ( I've found that inside the build.prop)

    - if you want to have a look inside the firmware you can use a rom kitchen tool like CBR

    - how to change the boot logo:
    1. If your player is 1280*720 screen, you need to rotate the picture 90 degree, and cut it into 720*1280 size, transform the picture to .BMP format.
    2. If your player is 1024*600 screen, you need to cut the picture to 1024*600 size, transform the picture to .BMP format.
    3. copy the picture into your Udisk root path, and then connect Udisk to the player. follow the steps settings-factory-8888-Logo set-then you can see your picture and select it- click update logo.
    - how to change boot animation: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...uis-7862s-not-fyt-based.4525675/post-88086835

    - enhance the microphone and call quality by using the external microphone and disable the internal microphone by masking two pins of a ribbon cable. It's explained inside this thread (link to post will follow)

    - GPS tweak: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...uis-7862s-not-fyt-based.4525675/post-88112693

    Known issues:
    - "hey Google" (activate the assistant by hotword) doesn't work
    - no car speed dependent volume control (manufacturer says it would be implemented later)
    - the firmware is a debug release which is a serious security risk (every app or malware can get root access through ADB shell). On the upside you can also get root access through ADB and do everything you want

    To be continued...

    Cheers

    And now a few more!

1122 / 2211 - both popup a bubble with chinese text. I thought they were the same at first but they have different characters. (They both have the word “log” in it)

6655 - opens up a screen that appears to be the same as 555666 but these are also in Chinese so I don’t know if there are differences. Notably when you enter this menu with either code it will record a snippet of audio from the mic and play it back.

4455 - engineer mode (lots of stuff in here to explore, includes adb shell)

    5544 - gps stuff

1212 - notification that says “slog copied to unkown”

2121 - seems to just take you home

    45645600 - download mcu file
    9
How did you discover the codes?
Just by trying a bunch of different codes and looking for patterns. Starting by looking at the codes we already knew I discovered they are all a repeating sequence of digits that are adjacent to each other on the keypad. Once you find a pattern there’s usually another code that uses the same pattern somewhere else on the keypad. If you actually type in the codes and look at the physical pattern they make you’ll see what I mean. For example 114477 is just the digits in the left column of the keypad going down. 336699 is the same pattern in the right column. And then some codes are just variations on top of that, like doing a code in reverse (which we already knew) as well as adding 00 to the end of some. This is how I discovered all the codes. Once I’d find one code Id try that same pattern in all places and variations. Simple as that! I’m sure there’s more patterns yet to be discovered so try different ideas out and see what you can find. With many people using these strategies I’m sure we can discover more! I may have even missed a few using the patterns of ones I found.
