Maybe it is only me, went back from latest 20230306 to 20230207 FW, had some weird sounds from the radio when using my Sygic navi, on moment that Sygic makes notification, it should with navi mix put the radio a little down but the radio sounded really weird, like under water sounds.
Also had the impression that the antenna reception of the radio is a little worse.
All good again with downgrading to previous februari version, actually the first time I don't like an update.
I have the same experience. Problems with Sygic and worse radio reception. Returned to 230109.

Thanx:)

Do all the versions of this model S1 to S8 share the same apk/firmware?
Is this the original radio apk from our firmware that @Barykelo shared?, the one I uploaded earlier is the FM radio apk from our firmware. I looked inside it and it shows all the graphics from our radio app.

And yes firmware is the same for the s1 to s8 units.

There is one function in Teyes that is solved differently from the others. The processor has its own fan-cooled heat sink, and the case only cools the power amplifier screwed down and not in the pocket.
It seems that your model is such that the case is not standard, I looked at the Volkswagen, the exact same case is one to one and the exterior is no different, even without a fan they are sold, where the radiator on the processor I don’t know).

vendor confirmed software bug related to LOUDNESS, will be fixed in the new firmware
Explain normally what problems you have with the volume? I put all the updates and everything is fine, once I just had to disconnect from the network for a full reboot. Maybe I have problems with the volume, but I did not know)

From my observations:
The volume on our devices is not fully unified with the Android system volume, and for this reason, many third-party programs (not all) cannot control the volume.

I have an S7, I just wrote that Teyes did something for more efficient cooling for a higher price.

У мене S7, я тільки що написав, що Teyes зробив щось для більш ефективного охолодження за вищу ціну.
what does the name S7 have to do with this? You have a different device with a different case and, judging by the photo, even a circuit. What your manufacturer wrote has nothing to do with the system described in this article. I don't understand what all of you who bought Tiais are doing on this forum?)) People buy what suits them for the price, and here is your device? In any case, it's better to buy an average S4 device and an average power amplifier, then you won't need cooling at all, and the sound will be twice as clean and louder.People take this device because they consider it impractical to take something more expensive in a non-standard car. I agree with them.

I need help…

I bought the Hizpo S4. After the speakers didn't work with the normal speakers (sound only comes through the cinch outputs), the seller advised me to do a factory reset. Now I still have no sound via the speaker outputs and the soft-touch bar no longer works. No change even after updating the firmware and MCU (from Autofather.com). Does anyone have a solution?

After you do factory reset you loose all physical button control, canbus/factory and user settings, except for the home and return button on the screen.

Buttons you need to set again with going into carsettings app/factory 8888 ok.

You use canbus?, what car...

Speakers are going with my unit with the power plug to the car speakers....maybe you have a not compatible plug for your car?, wrongly wired for your car plug?
The pin configuration is shown on the Ebay page you shared.
If all checked and okay wired and not working....don't have a clue.

I have ours (Ossuret S7) and I'm on the right forum, and with this I replied to your statement that also Teyes are the same as most manufacturers. As you can see (photo added) they also do more for more money.

He shared the cooling and has a S7 himself, but agree that this thread is not to compare units and how wonderful they are compared to ours, my S8 not running hot, sounds great, deep bass, no crashes, so why spend extra money for solutions you don't need.
The biggest problem with heat is the dashboard itself, if heat stays inside there around the HU, no matter what cooling solution you have in the HU it will get warm...

What car do you have?
Maybe you have separate original amplifier? If so, try to unplug the battery for couple minute,

Thanks for Your answer. I've already looked under Carsetting / Factory with 8888, but I can't find the right menu item for setting the buttons.

I have a Volkswagen Transporter T4 and the radio does not work via CAN. Before that, a simple 1 DIN radio from Kenwood was installed.

The loudspeakers are connected via the ISO connector. It also works perfectly with the old radio. I have already tested this.

Amplifier and all speakers are no longer factory and have been retrofitted.

You talking about the home, return, volume up/down......right?
In my car I need to go to factorysetting (8888+ok) and then panel key study, no 3, select the key on the screen and then hold the physical/mechanical key/ button for few seconds on your unit...you get a green square, do all and save.

20230331_202912.jpg

But don't know your unit, if that are mechanical buttons or touch software buttons...

I cant remember the function of touch learning button, no.2,, but you can try both..I thought I used that in an earlier version of Firmware to make buttons works again, but in latest I used panel key study.

My unit is a S8 with Opel front that match my dashboard with mechanical buttons around it ..

About the ISO plug, check if the supplied one with the unit matches that, on your linked Ebay there is a wiring specification...of the plug you stick in your unit...so the wires on other side you put in your ISO plug must correspond to that, but imaging you know that already ...
I have totally different plug, don't know if the power cable they supplied is an ISO connector that matches yours .

Other then that I don't know....contact supplier again, maybe defected unit ..

Alot of cars today have built in amplifiers, loudness setting is sometimes an alias for canbus-controll of the amplifiers loudness setting.

And sometimes for the built in amps loudness setting, aka just use the damn dsp lol.

Late to the discussion, what exactly have you ordered? What harness was included? Are there any loose wires?

8888/2 worked for me. Big thanks for that!

I will check the speaker assignment on the device. I will report. If need be I will install an amplifier for the loudspeakers.

In any case, thanks so far for the help.

I have one last question. How can I reactivate the weather app?

    Hi,

I made a few for myself and with my latest and the earlier ones before I have not always the blue screen with the "starting device" message, but it will always shows a blue screen, this can be 1 or 2 seconds,
1 of the approx. 10 starts it shows the starting device message on my s8 unit.

    I have 108 files total, part0 72 files, part1 36 files, as web based 24bit png,

My present ani I have now:
    640 320 20
    p 1 0 part0
    p 0 0 part1

    Original boot ani in our firmware is as a 640 180 20 with a part0 and part1 with total 105 png24 files.

For me it seems that during the animation the launcher not getting started yet, but is starting after the bootanimation by the system., just an idea.
A "heavy" launcher takes more time to start, I use Agama.

Testing with longer animation can also be easily done with modifying part1.
Instead of continuous loop you can also set a loop with an amount of frames in part1.
BTW can also be done with 7zip, just zip it with compression method "store" or better use free bootani factory.

    For instance:

    1280 720 30
    p 1 0 part0
    p 120 0 part1

    part1 will be then 4 seconds (120/30).
png frame makes the final zip file too heavy, better jpg frame.

Winrar 3.9.0 is needed if you have to add or remove files inside the .zip archive, but in any case even with 7zip I think it's possible to do it.

Theoretically, during an animated boot Android loads the file System, it is strange that it detects that this happens only after it has finished (then it would not make sense to integrate the animated boot into Android, it would only lengthen the cold boot phase).

Thanks for your reflections with live test. ;)
    1
    Continuos loop:

    1280 720 30
    p 0 0 part0

this ONLY if you use one folder "part0"

    --------

One loop (possible to use 2 or plus folder....):

    1280 720 30
    p 1 0 part0
    ecc.......
    ecc.......
    ecc.......
    ecc.......

Best way if you want to use animation WITH loop:
don't use many image frames, so it becomes smoother and more beautiful.
I prefer a single animation WITHOUT a loop, but obviously it takes more frames and needs to be more customized to cover all the time required to finish the boot animation.

Well I my case my animation is as big/ small as the Android stock animation, I don't use a full screen resolution, only showing a spinning 3D Opel logo.

My looping part1 has 36 frames and runs smooth, spinning around.
With 1 frame you can only show a static picture and not see if unit is hanging or not :D.
Just wanted to keep it as close as the original stock animation, indeed .jpg will do fine too.

I know for 100% sure 7zip can do it, as long as you zip it with the "store" compression level option.

Theoretically yes, but see on my unit that the launcher gets started after the animation, myself not using one of the stock launchers.

My bootanimation runs for about 5 seconds, more then enough time to start the launcher you would think, if you also take the few seconds of the cold start bootlogo in account.

Howto lower app output volume on android ? I'm not familiar with BOOP, haven't stumbeld upon that yet
Depends on what phone you have, and what android version it is running.

    This is Samsung specific: https://www.howtogeek.com/796399/how-to-adjust-volume-for-individual-apps-on-samsung-galaxy-phones/

Else, if it is a Xiaomi phone, or a android version that has also added the functionality, this is the way: https://www.androidauthority.com/xiaomi-miui-12-sound-assistant-1133145/

OTHERWISE - use a colume control app that supports individual strream volume settings: https://www.androidauthority.com/best-volume-control-apps-android-3101217/

    HI.
my full scene\animation has 185 frames .jpg (full screen 1280*720) all placed in part0.
While in part1 I have only 1 frame #186, identical to the last present in part0, so the real animation is all in part0, and when it changes in part1 it is practically over, and it's ok for me if it becomes a static frame .
    I do NOT use loops.

    This my "desc.txt"
    1280 720 30
    p 1 0 part0
    p 0 0 part1

However, I still have to install my animation on the radio, and understand if it is necessary to make changes ...

    What do you think?
    Well it should work.

If your animation is not using full screen, mean you have mosty a black background you can make the filesize smaller.

    I'm using 640 320 20.

Probably when your part0 is finished due the 185/30, so around six seconds, it will immediately go to homescreen or loops a few times your part1 with one frame it.

I made my animation part0 longer and shorter with same results, always first see blue screen and sometimes, so not always, the message device starting.
When "device starting" is showed, the blue screen stays llittle longer active before my launcher starts, like still busy with hardware related stuff, have my two usb used for dab+ and front camera.

It seems not every start is the same, sometimes takes little longer.

But for me not really an issue, would be nice that after animation the launcher is already started but it seems that the firmware is not handling it like that.

    Guys another good news:
Today I've got the radio audio output from NavRadio+ working.
So the most problematic parts of the porting are solved.
Now it's just a matter of time to add the seek and autoscan functions and to fine tune everything.
I'm pretty happy for the progresses:)
    6
    Hi guys,
I just wanted to let you know that the porting of NavRadio+ on this units is going better than expected.
I already can change frequency, receive RDS data etc.. i can't control the audio focus right now but I'll figure it out sooner or later.
I'd like to ask you some questions:

    1. Have you ever seen, on the original app, the RDS text broadcasted by radio stations with song name or other infos? Not the name of the station.
    2. How do you set LOC or DX in the original app?
    3. Do you think the AF and TA function work well on the original app?
Thank's to anyone who reply ;)
    5
The flash was successful. Only the HU indicates that I have 6GB and that should be 8, so no idea why, but think it has always been 6. If you open the HU, you can also see that there is a sticker on it with the data of the device, there you also see 6 + 128GB, so the same story as android 10 (fake12) Direct update to 20230414 did not work (again a checksum error, but was able to do a full reset) so I updated the HU in steps with the *major" updates with auto update, that went well. Recovery procedure was easier than I thought, with some more extensive explanation from Vėžys, so thank you @Vėžys 🙂 Glad I have a well-functioning HU to update it again, thanks to the people on this forum 👍😊
    4
Finally did a mic adjustment. I removed the pcb & capsule from within the OEM Vag mic housing & put an 6 mm capsule from an old Parrot mic in place. At the radio end/center console side I made an adapter to 3,5" mono jack (so it is the pcb/circuitry preventing the OEM VW mic to be used with aftermarket units).

So I have my external mic now sitting at the designated location in my Golf MK5 without need to run any extra cable. And normally it is future proof if I were to change to another aftermarket unit. I unsoldered & removed the internal mic of the HU all together btw. Good riddance.

Works very well - better than the internal mic mod did. And no more mic picking up the (low) fan noise.

Edit: inside the OEM mic housing there is an small pcb which has a 6 mm mic capsule soldered directly to it. If one is carefull in removing the guts (pcb with capsule) you should be able to repurpose the capsule. I was too brute and broke the capsule's solder islands (but I knew I had another 6 mm mic capsule laying around if needed)

Could also be simplified by just cutting off the OEM mic housing and soldering an external mic directly to the OEM connector leads of course. And make an adapter to 3,5" mono jack to connect to external mic socket.
    3
Prosím, dejte mi vědět, pokud se vám podaří vyřešit tento problém.

Please let me know if you manage to solve this problem.

    Hello all,

it seems that there are some QF001 owners out there but not much informations. So i will try to collect everything and put it at one place.

The original manufactor is shenzhen jitu technology co. ltd.

These units are sold from Ossuret, Hizpo and other brands. This are the sellers specs:
    specs.JPG

The Android 12 is fake which is Android 10 in reality.

I have the 8/128GB Version myself:
    Screenshot_20221129-085346.png

Codes for the factory settings menu:

Different firmware versions are inside this thread. Take care of the right MCU file and beware that clear user data is enabled by default on update. There is also a dedicated firmware thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...s-with-uis-7862a-7862s-not-fyt-based.4541261/

Dedicated thread for gaining recovery access: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...uret-s4-s8-uis-7862-headunits-no-fyt.4538107/

Beside the faked Android 12 Version the head unit seems to be a good bang for the buck. I´ve paid around 230 Euros including VAT and shipping. The unit runs stable and powerful so far. Everything works as expected. The Android is a bit downcutted by the manufactor. There are no text notifications in the statusbar e.g. But i can compensate that with widgets.

Against the description android auto works wireless with my Xiaomi Mi10t pro. So that's also nice to have.

    Tweaks, mods and others:
    - my wire harness was labeled wrong. Key 2 and Key GND were swapped. So better check the cables before connecting. For me the correct wire names/functions were in the printed manual.

    - replacement fan that fits my model: Sunon MF35101V21000UA99

    - there's a sleep whitelist in the factory settings menu that prevents apps from being killed in standby mode (ignition off). That's very useful. I've whitelisted Google maps e.g. and don't lose my programmed route anymore if i turn off the engine for a short stop.

    - tasker trigger for warm boot: detect any USB device connected. (You have to plug in something into the usb port, dashcam or pendrive e.g.)

    - the status bar only shows a few symbols and no text notifications. Therefore I use a notification widget in combination with nova launcher. This way I can see all notifications in a widget which would be at the status bar originally.

    - wireless ADB is enabled by default with root user. 🎉 The port is 9876. ( I've found that inside the build.prop)

    - if you want to have a look inside the firmware you can use a rom kitchen tool like CBR

    - how to change the boot logo:
    1. If your player is 1280*720 screen, you need to rotate the picture 90 degree, and cut it into 720*1280 size, transform the picture to .BMP format.
    2. If your player is 1024*600 screen, you need to cut the picture to 1024*600 size, transform the picture to .BMP format.
    3. copy the picture into your Udisk root path, and then connect Udisk to the player. follow the steps settings-factory-8888-Logo set-then you can see your picture and select it- click update logo.
    - how to change boot animation: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...uis-7862s-not-fyt-based.4525675/post-88086835

    - enhance the microphone and call quality by using the external microphone and disable the internal microphone by masking two pins of a ribbon cable. It's explained inside this thread (link to post will follow)

    - GPS tweak: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...uis-7862s-not-fyt-based.4525675/post-88112693

    Known issues:
    - "hey Google" (activate the assistant by hotword) doesn't work
    - no car speed dependent volume control (manufacturer says it would be implemented later)
    - the firmware is a debug release which is a serious security risk (every app or malware can get root access through ADB shell). On the upside you can also get root access through ADB and do everything you want

    To be continued...

    Cheers
    blue_one

    And now a few more!

1122 / 2211 - both popup a bubble with chinese text. I thought they were the same at first but they have different characters. (They both have the word “log” in it)

6655 - opens up a screen that appears to be the same as 555666 but these are also in Chinese so I don’t know if there are differences. Notably when you enter this menu with either code it will record a snippet of audio from the mic and play it back.

4455 - engineer mode (lots of stuff in here to explore, includes adb shell)

    5544 - gps stuff

1212 - notification that says “slog copied to unkown”

2121 - seems to just take you home

    45645600 - download mcu file
    9
How did you discover the codes?
Just by trying a bunch of different codes and looking for patterns. Starting by looking at the codes we already knew I discovered they are all a repeating sequence of digits that are adjacent to each other on the keypad. Once you find a pattern there’s usually another code that uses the same pattern somewhere else on the keypad. If you actually type in the codes and look at the physical pattern they make you’ll see what I mean. For example 114477 is just the digits in the left column of the keypad going down. 336699 is the same pattern in the right column. And then some codes are just variations on top of that, like doing a code in reverse (which we already knew) as well as adding 00 to the end of some. This is how I discovered all the codes. Once I’d find one code Id try that same pattern in all places and variations. Simple as that! I’m sure there’s more patterns yet to be discovered so try different ideas out and see what you can find. With many people using these strategies I’m sure we can discover more! I may have even missed a few using the patterns of ones I found.

I have created a dedicated thread for firmware files in the hope of having a central repository for updates that isn't comingled with this thread. If you have new links to firmware please post it there and then quote your comment and post it here for visibility, or vice versa. Thanks.

For whom that's interested and is annoyed that display time is out of sync with atomic network clock time.

Myself don't use 4G network, but WIFI hotspot from phone.

Each time when I opened the GPS test app, time changed and was out of sync by 2 to 4 minutes, also when I forgot to put hotspot on my phone on, after that it was taken the GPS time sync by default after startup,
So first taken my right hotspot network time and changed 30 seconds later to the out of sync GPS time, it was also out of sync with my OEM Opel board computer display.
With some hassle I could changed that back but needed to be sure that hotspot was always on before starting the car.

    Think I found a solution.

Note, I don't use sleep mode, always have a fresh cold start, unit starts up with firmware date and time, 09-01-2023, 12:05:54.

After going in the factory 5544 GPS setting, changed on first tab screen "agps" the server SUPL host to supl.google.com, changed port to 7276 (seems secure port), but you also can leave it on 7275, then tab screen "information", on the bottom page changed the satellites to GPS, Glonass, Galileo, my problem disappeared.

My unit correctly shows the time now, after a start-up it is in sync within 1 second compared to atomic clock, with or without hotspot, mean also without network connection it syncs with GPS satellites the time correct.
The AGPS SUPL was using the Chinese host (supl.qxwz.com) and preferred what it looks some Chinese satellites for Glonass and Galileo and somehow the Chinese GPS time is inaccurate.

Rather Google then the Chinese that follows me ;)
