[General Discussion] QF001 (ROCO K706) Head Units with UIS 7862s (not FYT based) [read first post first]

Hello all,

it seems that there are some QF001 owners out there but not much informations. So i will try to collect everything and put it at one place.

The original manufactor is shenzhen jitu technology co. ltd.

These units are sold from Ossuret, Hizpo and other brands. This are the sellers specs:

The Android 12 is fake which is Android 10 in reality.

I have the 8/128GB Version myself:

Codes for the factory settings menu:

8888 - access to advanced settings
114477 - activates developer mode (Than you have to do the usual procedere: touch the build number on the system info screen several times until it says that you are developer now.)
22558800 factory reset
15935700 turns off sleep mode (Not tested by myself)
332211 - Shows temperature and clock speed
996633 - Exports some config file

Beside the faked Android 12 Version the head unit seems to be a good bang for the buck. I´ve paid around 230 Euros including VAT and shipping. The unit runs stable and powerful so far. Everything works as expected. The Android is a bit downcutted by the manufactor. There are no text notifications in the statusbar e.g. But i can compensate that with widgets.

Against the description android auto works wireless with my Xiaomi Mi10t pro. So that's also nice to have.

Tweaks, mods and others:
- my wire harness was labeled wrong. Key 2 and Key GND were swapped. So better check the cables before connecting. For me the correct wire names/functions were in the printed manual.

- replacement fan that fits my model: Sunon MF35101V21000UA99

- there's a sleep whitelist in the factory settings menu that prevents apps from being killed in standby mode (ignition off). That's very useful. I've whitelisted Google maps e.g. and don't lose my programmed route anymore if i turn off the engine for a short stop.

- tasker trigger for warm boot: detect any USB device connected. (You have to plug in something into the usb port, dashcam or pendrive e.g.)

- the status bar only shows a few symbols and no text notifications. Therefore I use a notification widget in combination with nova launcher. This way I can see all notifications in a widget which would be at the status bar originally.

- wireless ADB is enabled by default with root user.

The port is 9876. ( I've found that inside the build.prop)

- if you want to have a look inside the firmware you can use a rom kitchen tool like CBR

- how to change the boot logo:
1. If your player is 1280*720 screen, you need to rotate the picture 90 degree, and cut it into 720*1280 size, transform the picture to .BMP format.
2. If your player is 1024*600 screen, you need to cut the picture to 1024*600 size, transform the picture to .BMP format.
3. copy the picture into your Udisk root path, and then connect Udisk to the player. follow the steps settings-factory-8888-Logo set-then you can see your picture and select it- click update logo.

- enhance the microphone and call quality by using the external microphone and disable the internal microphone by masking two pins of a ribbon cable. It's explained inside this thread (link to post will follow)

Known issues:
- "hey Google" (activate the assistant by hotword) doesn't work
- no car speed dependent volume control (manufacturer says it would be implemented later)
- the firmware is a debug release which is a serious security risk (every app or malware can get root access through ADB shell). On the upside you can also get root access through ADB and do everything you want

Beside the faked Android 12 Version the head unit seems to be a good bang for the buck. I´ve paid around 230 Euros including VAT and shipping. The unit runs stable and powerful so far. I just installed that type yesterday (S4) and yes android auto works wireless (Moto G60). I tried several hw info apps and none of them did show fake android. Will try other ones...

Still have to figure out why canbus isn't doing much and how mic volume could be altered...

You need a hardware info app which can read out the Android API. e.g. this one

I have the S4 model

As it looks very similar to the one of @blue_one I think I will try the update file and see if it works.

I got an extra code meanwhile 15935700 turns of sleep mode when leaving the car so when taking off the car key the units shuts down after 3 min delay in stead off going into sleep mode and possibly draining the car battery.

Update went fine, though I will have to reinstall my own apps, but that is not a real issue... Now I should have much more control over the unit. Just quickly tested the enhanced settings menu after the update. All seem to work.

I have the same head unit S4 i want update with this firmware but I don't see the update for the MCU, my question is the MCU bin is it included in this update zip or not, thanks a lot in advance

The best thing with the newest firmware is that nova launcher can access the OEM apps now like FM-Radio, DSP and so on. So you can exchange the awful integrated launchers with nova without loosing functionality. So the GUI is highly customizeable now. Even Widgets works like a charm.

Beside the faked Android 12 Version the head unit seems to be a good bang for the buck. I´ve paid around 230 Euros including VAT and shipping. The unit runs stable and powerful so far. Everything works as expected. The Android is a bit downcutted by the manufactor. There are no text notifications in the statusbar e.g. But i can compensate that with widgets.

Against the description android auto works wireless with my Xiaomi Mi10t pro. So that's also nice to have.

The variable fan speed is dependig on the mainboard revision. See firmaware release notes: "26. Display the fan APP according to the serial number date (the boss does not display the fan APP, and the board after 2022-12-22 displays the fan APP)"

Hi, I did the update on an 4/32 model and this installs a fan app but it didn't test it because I do not have the fan powered yet. Will do that later on when reopening the dash to install and connect an FM amplifier

Hello everyone,
I'm new to this forum and wanted to join this discussion. I also recently got an android radio with hizpo's Qf001 built in. https://www.ebay.de/itm/394318953952
I have the following problems with the device: 1) The USB port on the front of the user is not working. However, the USB port for charging works.
2) I wanted to install FCC and create my own launcher. Unfortunately FCC doesn't start automatically and crashes after a while when I start it manually.
3) What I totally miss about the device is the GALA function, as well as Speed Volume Control. You can install the apps for it, but the device doesn't allow the apps to control the volume. I wrote to the seller on ebay and he sent me the following message

Dear Customer,
sorry for your trouble.
Please try updating the device and see if it can solve the problem.

1.Download the two firmwares to your computer from the two links, they are <Update.zip> and <MCU.bin>, please do not unzip them.
2.Copy the <Update.zip> document to your Udisk root path. Copy the <MCU> document to your Udisk root path.
3.Connect your Udisk to our player, then follow Settings-General-System-Upgrade, and then it will update itself, please don't turn off the power during the upgrade. And the player will restart. This step takes about 6 minutes.
4. When you have finished upgrading the system, follow Settings-General-MCU-Upgrade - select the upgrade file - confirm and it will update itself. This step takes about 1 minute.

For the USB issue, could you please try formatting the USB flash drive to see if it can be recognized?
Or try to enter 8888 in factory settings and select USB mode as 1.1.

I also had USB problems at first, an 8 gb Sandisk was read with diffulties or only after restarting, but when I used another 16 gb stick for the update, the HU read it without any problems. So seems to depend on USB stick type. Try several sticks...

But also make sure that you have not connected the supplied USB connection on the back because this will switch off USB2 on the front...

You can achieve speed related volume by two methods: speed impulse from the car itself or via GPS. I don't know if this head unit can work with the speed impulse from the car bit you can give the several gps volume apps a try.

For me only nova launcher works as third party launcher. The manufacturer implemented the needed rights into their firmware. So I guess you need to modify the firmware to get other launcher working too.
