I don’t have a joying unit either but the option is there, se picture in post #1133View attachment 5780625
This is the one I installed.
It's not there (I don't have a Joying, btw, which might be the difference)

yes, I saw it, which is why I replied, but my FYT=1 unit doesn't show that option. maybe because I have a 1920x1200 unit and firmware? I don't know, but it's just not there. I guess YMMV hereI don’t have a joying unit either but the option is there, se picture in post #1133
You have to use the lsec6315update from your latest firmware. That binary has changed over time.I tried running the backup script (from post 4), and after the reboot the system gives me this error and doesn't backup.
Replaced com.syu.settings but mic setting option did not come up so there must be something morenothing to do with the 6315_1.zip but with AllAppUpdate.bin, responsible apk is com.syu.settings
Maybe your kernel ?, 2022-03-30 ?, are you sure that you replaced the com.syu.settings correctly ?, did you see the colored icons in com.syu.settings ?, if yes then you replaced it, if not, the you didn't replace it !Replaced com.syu.settings but mic setting option did not come up so there must be something more

i also have the internal external mic option after the update but its not workingMaybe your kernel ?, 2022-03-30 ?, are you sure that you replaced the com.syu.settings correctly ?, did you see the colored icons in com.syu.settings ?, if yes then you replaced it, if not, the you didn't replace it !
In my case with firmware 2022-10-27 on two units FYT1 and FYT31 I have the mic option (internal or external)
Hi Mario.
a scriptHi Mario.
How do I install this please?
Do I just need to include this apk plus the lsec updater on a USB drive?
Or does it require a script?
The mic option is there for me now on my Mekede M500s after updating com.syu.settings.
Thank you Mario.
Right, so even if you see the switch in the settings it doesn't mean that the function will work as expected !Just pointing out that this mod will not work without the supporting hardware.
Newer hardware revisions "M6 Pro" contain supporting hardware, this hardware provides a "switch " between external and internal.
Other differences are proper Fan control, instead of just being tied to the external amplifier on/off switch. (Source 4pda)
I think so, but good to see mods try!Right, so even if you see the switch in the settings it doesn't mean that the function will work as expected !
please share the script.
Add your own lsec631Xupdate file
Thank you for the awesome work! I have a quick question, I used the auto generate backup zip feature and then there was a download popped up at the end. I didn’t find any option that I could use to download the zip. Is there any way I can download it directly to the HU (didn’t see my HU nor USB stick as an option), or do you have any suggestions how to download it? Thank you!Proud to introduce 7862 Kernel MD EDITION V1.0 with FMC (FYT Management Center)
Use the documents (or another app) to go to your storage folder, inside you will se a folder named FMC_dataThank you for the awesome work! You stand correct, script l used failed to replace com.syu.settings. So just went for a full update with latest version from Mekede site and now mic select option is there. Do you have a newer "m6" hardware variant that supports the feature?

Sorry for the stupid question, but I'm a newbie. @mariodantas, it takes a script, what does it mean? Please can you give me a step by step to install this file. I apologize again for the newbie question. Thank you
Updating the MCU does not fix issues with missing canbus functions.yes, I just have yin and the parody looks like I have the newer N32, only I have problems with can, no ambient temperature, reversing sound and resetting the backlight of the side keys... is it possible to upload this older mcu g23 as above?
This looks like a 7731 unit but I am not sure whether it is a FYT unit. Looking at the systemUI it is a FYT.Hi i need split screen supported launcher.
my device info at attached photo
Upper kernel 6316 is newer than lower one, that's allI do not know how to compare these two files, which is newer, which is older and possibly which matches my radio .... config.txt files are the same, while in one file 6316_1.zip is slightly larger.... the difference as in the picture.
Yes, it is. You do need to read post #1 and #2 though to get the necesary background info.Is it possible to run a custom ROM or another seller’s FYT unit’s English ROM so I can have an English UI?

Apart from the /oem partition and a few others, the /system, /vendor and /product partition are read-only. In earlier FYTs, you could use the lsec script to make them read-write and then modifiy content, add/remove files/apks, etcetera from these partitions. The big disadvantage for modders with these new dynamic partitions is that you can't make them read-write anymore.Dynamic partitions are a userspace partitioning system for Android. Using this partitioning system, you can create, resize, or destroy partitions during over-the-air (OTA) updates. With dynamic partitions, vendors no longer have to worry about the individual sizes of partitions such as system, vendor, and product. Instead, the device allocates a super partition, and sub-partitions can be sized dynamically within it. Individual partition images no longer have to leave empty space for future OTAs. Instead, the remaining free space in super is available for all dynamic partitions.

Hi.Thanks for the good idea!
Unfortunately in my case, the cars SWC are all through CANBUS and so I haven't connected the KEY1/KEY2 inputs to the HU at all. In so doing, I am relying on the CANBUS manufacturer to intepret those button presses as "mode, vol +, vol - ", which is unfortunately unable to be remapped at the moment.
I may just install a simple aftermarket remote to the KEY1/KEY2, to use my current SWC controls, AND the after market ones in parallel. Then I will remap the after market buttons, to whatever I want, eg. Button 1 = Spotify, Button 2 = Tidal etc ".
Will update if I manage to get the parts off Aliexpress soon!
Cheers!
