XT1527 here.

Is there a way to repartition to the device? All the results on Google are generally Samsung-specific.

The reason why I ask is because my system/root partition is 1.71 GB when only 30%-40% of the space is used, and I could really use that wasted GB for internal storage.

Ever since I unlocked my bootloader I have had an issue. Whenever I try to reboot to recovery, do a normal reboot or shut down, my bootloader always takes me to fastboot mode. I've been wondering if anyone else had that same problem and how to fix this issue.

This handset is XT1521.
The ROM version ("System version" in Android settings) is:
24.51.39.surnia_retasia_ds.retasiaall.en.03 retapac

>retapac
This tells me that it's running the firmware for retail models (no carrier) for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. 'DS' was in there, so it seems **** Smith could have had a say in it being bootloader locked, but it seems unlikely, as it isn't carrier locked.

My guess would be that Motorola locked the bootloader on all Asia Pacific devices because in Asia people will happily keep using an old phone as long as they can update its software. There are second hand phone stores in every mall in Malaysia and Thailand. Moto are just using the same dirty trick of planned forced obsolescence that Apple uses. This will be my last Lenovo laptop too, as I won't trust them to supply drivers for new OS's now either.
I too have an XT1521 from dicksmith. I had no problems with unlocking. XT1521 is the international version.

I have an xt1528.

Been FRP locked since last Christmas. I started messing with it yesterday and was able to get Nova Launcher installed. Now I can reset it and get into Nova Launcher no problem and install apps, etc.

Can't enable ADB, playstore crashes, factory reset grayed out. Does anyone know of any apps that will either let me enable ADB or access the factory reset?

Hello, I have a problem since I installed the new cm14 on my Motorola Moto E 2nd Generation 2 weeks ago.

When I'm in recovery mode (TWRP 2.8.5.0), I cannot find the update zip-files, although I can see them, when I'm (not in recovery mode) logged into my phone, in my file browser.
Teamwin also tells me the error-message: "Cannot mount /data" but also mounting the data is not possible.
In my old cyanogenmod(13), they were automatically in the sdcard-folder.

My questions are:
- Is it a problem with the mounting, and if so, how can I mount the folder "/data"?
- Is there a way to tell the device where it should better put the downloads, that they can still be reached when I'm in recovery mode?

I'm very thankful for any help:)
You can tell your browser tot download to the SD card. If not you could install an app like file manager or ES file explorer to manually move the zip to the SD card.

I rooted my phone by using TWRP and SuperSu flashable zip version 2.79. I wanted to play Pokemon Go, but I needed to stay rooted so I could use Change My MAC. According to the Magisk XDA page, I could use the SuperSu root as long as I changed my Superuser app. So when I went to uninstall Superuser, the option to uninstall had disappeared. So I went onto Google Play to click on Superuser by chainfire. The uninstall option was missing. I tried to reflash the SuperSu zip to seeif that would fix the problem. It did not. Please help. I am running stock 5.1.

Thankyou! I did it with "adb push" and it was there, my Computer told me. Only I couldn't see the file in the recovery mode on the telephone.
My solution was to upgrade TWRP. After that, I could see and install the .zip-file.

Hi all,

Hope everyone is doing well. I tried rooting my Moto E 2nd Gen LTE from Boost Mobile and everything was going fine (was using a guide from XDA - great guide by the way!) and I got to the point of installing SuperSU and for some reason my phone would not install it. Once I tried this, I got stuck in a boot loop and even though I have access to TWRP and the bootloader is unlocked, I haven't found a way to get the phone working again. I tried to do a factory wipe and to the wipe the cache and everything but still it has been to no avail. Is there a way I can install a ROM on it still (it could even be the stock one, I just want to make it work again) or do you think I bricked it? Thanks for all the help!

UDP

Guy....i need help in enabling UDP on my Moto E2.
Im trying to use it as an interface between my Broadlink and the Amazon Echo, the problem is it can't communicate with the Echo as the UDP is disabled.

Running stock Marshmallow, i don't mind flashing it, if there's a rom out there that enable UDP

Thanks

I need ideas on why my XT1526(boost mobile moto e) cannot get LTE. So far I have
1. Phone was on ringplus and now is active on freedompop
2. no LTE on the phone, only 3G. It did have LTE when with ringplus
3. another XT1526 has strong LTE
4. opened ticket on freedompop support. They talked me reset by ##72786# and ##786#, neither fix the problem.
5. They said they "reset the activation of the phone", no fix.
6. ##data# show correct APN n.f6.ispsn, LTE enabled.
7. baseband m8916_2020610.17.03.21.26R

Any idea to further troubleshoot?

thanks.
