On a LG O1/P500 (and others, I think, that use the same msm7x27 CPU), frequencies under or equal to 480 MHz use same voltage and frequencies of 600 or more uses the same higher voltage. So, to save power is equal to set min freq to 245 or 480 Mhz (the last one has better responsiveness).

Application Combo Tips..

install swipepad and folder organizer.. den manage your folder organizer and put it in swipepad..

that's the best application combo ever ;)
thanks for the suggestion. however i think these apps are unnecessary.
if i have read correctly, folder organizer allows you to organize your apps, bookmarks, contacts, and shortcuts. the home screen already allows you to organize apps into folders and make shortcuts. the bookmarks are meant to be in the browser and the built-in contacts app is meant for your contacts.
for swipepad, you can easily press the home button and access your app drawer for quick access to other apps.
i think apps like these are unnecessary unless they have a special use (troubleshooting, a true file manager, etc) but once again thanks for the suggestion :p

Just to say that, loopy smoothness tweak does not work, as knzo(noejn) said.
removed from the post. thanks for the heads up

---------- Post added at 10:02 AM ---------- Previous post was at 09:56 AM ----------

the categories i would like to build upon:
launchers
apps
performance
themes

and most importantly:
codes for secret phone menus (after doing a google search for secret codes, i found list after list. i tested a good majority of them but hardly any worked for me. im guessing this is because im using cm7. if any non-cm7/froyo user can test some codes for me, that would be great :D)

anything optimus v (while this thread is for both p500 and v users, ive heard only from p500 users. optimus v users, dont forget that this thread is also meant for you! if you have any roms/kernels and recoveries to share, feel free to share them)

The Ram Optimization tweak you posted. Does not work, the values are not right with our P500.

yes you can just press ur home button to access your apps' but the REAL USE of SWIPEPAD is when you are not on your homescreen..

Example .. .

i am on xda forums reading something and suddenly i saw a gorgeous girl and i want to load up my camera to take a picture of her' so what you can do is access ur swipepad and access or use ur camera W/OUT LEAVING THE XDA PAGE..

did u get what i mean'?

SWIPEPAD is USE for MULTI-TASKING ~

and that's the special use of it.. and it is not unecessary ~

@sweetnsour You must edit this topic, since according to the kernel topic of fserve (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1227682) the version "gbs.v15" will be discontinued because franciscofranco applied most the improvements in battery in the latest version of your kernel (v19.4). fserve now focuses on developing a completely kernel based on the stock kernel lg.

Goldenleaf.v110914 (The link is the same as just putting)

And I recommend that you put the kernels could be classified in better performance (franciscofranco kernels) and better battery (fserve kernels)

:)

as for the ram optimization, i did see a bit of improvement on my phone. are you sure it doesnt work?

It maybe just a placebo effect, the values in the script are already tweaked and in franco's/fserve's kernel

@ sweetnsour - First off congrats on the sticky. It looks like you've put a lot of work into it since I last stopped by.

I've got another disclaimer for you. Something like new users are recommended to stay away from roms with powerful/questionable scripts like loopy and v6. If a new user switches launchers or removes v6 apps things can go sideways and they may not know what to do.

On the other hand most new user ignore the stickies and spam the dev threads so what do I know.

i tried it but when it came to assigning each of the slots i got a little lazy so i uninstalled it :p

regarding your disclaimer, it will be added. just curious, do you know why things can go wrong and exactly what happens when things go wrong? i know for a fact that there is an option in the v6 supercharger that makes your launcher hard to kill but i dont understand how switching launchers can mess things up. and what do you mean by v6 apps? are you talking about the script manager? how would uninstalling it affect anything other than the user not being able to run the script? im not trying to be critical or anything...just plain curiosity (and detailed enough response can also be added to the disclaimer for those who are as curious as me :p)

and i edited the disclaimer a little. it now reads as "new users are recommended to stay away from powerful/questionable scripts like loopy and v6. If a new user switches launchers or removes v6 apps things can go sideways and they may not know what to do." (i took out the "roms with" in the first sentence to make it a little more clear). if you want me to put the original quote, i'll be happy to do so

To be honest it's been a while since I've played with them. I do know that knzo said loopy is "full of fireworks" and said it doesn't work as a script and needs to run as a Service and even then it's no good. In this case I wouldn't recommend it at all. Never

V6 - Arrgghh I can't recall how I made it bug out but someone currently running it might know more about the pitfalls.

As for the quote, if you remove loopy from your suggested list then something like "V6 is a powerful script aimed at Power Users. If you're unfamiliar with script editing/writing please proceed with caution."

Followed by a statement condemning the loopy script.

I think it's a bit like Pandora's box recommending tweaks and scripts via a sticky, but I'm conservative so, maybe a disclaimer isn't needed.

thanks once again :D

is there anyone that is using teamwin recovery? if so, can you give me a walkthrough of all the features (in the format that i have for cwm and amonra in the post)? thanks ahead of time!

Is it in bad taste to include links outside of XDA? If the goal is to be helpful then "that Italian site" and doktornotors site are both great resources for the O1.
