I don't like the AOSP recents I preferred the overview/Pixel C/tablet recents. We do finally have actual freeform windows. Look up an app can Taskbar.

how is newest nougat update? Is it worth getting the 7.1 for yoga book?

I've read somewhere that in nougat some multi-tasking functionality is being cut off.

Is it worth going for newest update or it messes the tablet up?

Hi all,

I was wondering if you could help me to update my yoga book?

I have a yoga book from China (X90F). The shop unlocked it and installed Google.
After that no more updates OTA possible.

I tried to set it back to the clean Android 6 version with the tutorial on xdadevelopers, but it does not work.
When I try to flash it with the Intel tool, no flash will start (I boot the tablet into TWRP recovery). When using the adb, the cmd always prompts : waiting for any device...

Can you help me to flash a normal Android version for updating to Android N?
I am not experienced with unlock or root.

Best regards

This usually indicates wrong installed ADB drivers or "USB Debug" isn't activated...
I used this installer for the adb:
s17.postimg.cc/p19ichmbv/adb.png
And also in the developer settings I activated the USB debugging, but still it did not work.

Now I also have another problem, because the old system is wiped and there is nothing to boot.
When I am home this evening, I will try to install the Android 6 image from SD card with the TWRP install from the recovery mode, I hope this will work.

Your PNG reveals you are using Windows 10. The Anniversary Update wiped the MTP Driver for some users. Make sure you install it and set your Yoga Book to MTP !

You should actually do it trough the Device Manager in W10, but the mentioned one should be the fastest solution. Or search at Google for "windows 10 mtp device manager" and follow one of the thousands guides...

I tried it with the MTP driver you mentioned, but I can not get the tablet into MTP mode anymore, because the system is wiped.

Now I try to install an image from SD card in the TWRP recovery menu, but it fails
You can see it here: ibb.co/c67FpS

I do not know what is the problem....

I also unzipped the zip file into a folder an tried to install the image file directly, but I am not brave enough to finish it, because I do not know which file is the right and which option I need to choose:
ibb.co/fYSWUS

Do you have any ideas how I get the system back on the yogabook?

Best regards

edit: I also tried to flash the image by adb, but the fastboot command does not work, still shows "waiting for any device". I checked then the device manager from Win10, and there is the portable device X90F shown without yellow mark, so it should be installed correctly...?
