genie news and weather with working night time weather?

Using a nice miui lock screen that has animated weather but genie does not show moon aka night time weather ever so it really annoying. And after searching it looks to be a problem with genie since day one of its release.

Can a mod move this to q&a sorry.

Yep, it has never changed to nighttime weather since its inception with eclair. It does have the night weather assets in the .apk though.

I do remember seeing a modded version years ago when I had the N1.
