Excellent, thanks!

I just bought it and it recognises my gestures fine but it stopped doing anything after the first gesture?

It still pops up with home etc but doesnt do the action.

If i open the gesture app and disable and reenable the service again it works for one action and stops again
Can you open Super user application and delete permission to all Gesture Control apps (in case it displays several rows). Then start settings screen and it will ask for permissions again. Let me know if it helps.

The same happens. Ive noticed though, after the gestures stop working, if i open superuser app straight after it force closes

EDIT: just updated SU and the force close issue has gone but the gestures still stop working after first action

Some users were complaining that they accidentally execute gestures or flip home screens. But sure, I will add option to use old gestures then (during weekend).
Small tip: 3 fingers pinch also works for home gesture. Its 3 or more.
In the future I will add functionality to define you own gestures and actions.

This is looking promising, I much prefer the idea of gestures over the "hotspot" I'm using in HoneyBar currently, also gestures for back and home are great since those are the reasons I unhide the taskbar anyway 99% of the time! However, it's not working for me beyond the first couple of times I try a gesture after running it, I have to kill it manually using the task killer to get it to work once or twice again. I've tried clearing it from Superuser and also updating SU (was on latest but updated again anyway) as suggested above but no joy. I also can't find it in the Market either by searching or using the link on the settings page to buy the full version, I'm in Germany though perhaps this is why? Anyway keep up the good work, if you can make this bug-free I'll definitely purchase.

I suspended program in market until all known issues are fixed. I'm fixing this particular problem at the moment (and it is last issue). I already sent test build to the user who is experiencing this problem and waiting for feedback. I will update version and enable it in market again when its fixed.

Works perfectly here,Thanks for awesome app.
At first time I opened it, it didnt work.
At second try,I open super user frist, than open app.
This time it ask permission from super user, and the app starts rocking~

Here is my little humble suggestion:
Can we custom gestures?
I wanna try 2 fingers move from right to leftward to back control.
Can you add menu control gesture?
home,back,menu,status bar on/off.
Will buy it if it works on ICS as well.
Cuz official update seems around the corner.

Hi StupidIdea I may as well post this here to to see what we think.

I had an idea to basically use the same simple left-right gesture and use screen position for commands. It has some advantages: It is easy to remember, just one gesture for everything and only one finger used. It is easy to "draw", just put finger down move left then right. Because it is a flat gesture it can be confined with an option to lower and/or upper part of screen (status bar area) so that it won't interfere with icons, widgets or apps. If you end up moving the screen while doing gesture no problem again since you are swiping left then right back to starting position, the screen will move back to the same position you started and not flip.

Like SI said to me this would only work well if doing on the edge of the screen as in the middle it could be accidentally triggered. That is fine as Honey bar only works on lower border.

How it could work:

The screen is divided into thirds (virtually of course). The finger start position determines the sector. So if you start in the center but swipe all of the way left and all of the way right (you wouldn't, but just a worse case), it would still hide/show bar.

Home: swipe left-right in left third of screen, Hide bar: swipe left-right in center third of screen, Back: swipe left-right in right third of screen. I picked this order because it matches button order on the phones (home is left, back is right). Phone users will be used to this, no need to re-learn.

Option for confining gesture to upper, lower, or upper and lower part of the screen. It would register up to about 1/2 inch or so from screen edge. This is easy when holding the tab, the case actually becomes a guide as you slide finger along the edge.

The gesture need not be long, it would work if you swipe back and forth an inch or so (could be a setting for minimum distance?).

Could be an option to do gesture vertically so the swipes would be up-down instead and start in status bar area. The screen third that you start gesture determines command like before.

So to sum up it would be a simple flat back-forth gesture that is always the same and the action performed depends on if it is done in left, middle, or right third of screen. No multitouch needed or no need to remember how many fingers you use and which shape combined with the correct number of fingers does what command.

thanks, but every time I unhide the bar, there's a prompt asking me to connect to mobile network (data plan) . any ideas?
When hiding bar, program kills status bar process. Showing it starts this process again. Can you try other program that hides honeycomb bar, like Hide Bar (or other alternatives), does it behave the same?

I have the same problem as the poster on page two. The gestures all work perfectly the first time, then the second time does nothing. I've done the clear SU permissions/ clear app data but same issue remains. 16gb WiFi here. Please fix this as i would love to buy the full version!

I'd also love for it to work, but I'm also still getting the same problem. Full version from the Market updated to version 1.2.0. Tried removing HoneyBar completely, and cleared the App Cache / Superuser entry for Gesture Control, restarted the device and loaded it up again, all to no avail. When it stops working, I still get the toasts saying Show / Hide Bar, Back, Home etc so I don't think it's a problem with the gesture recognition itself, more with it processing the command. The "Manually toggle status bar on/off." button doesn't work either, nor does locking / unlocking the screen. So if it stops working with the status bar hidden, I have no option but to restart. :(

Some info about my device (all those having problems should post this in case it's a specific model / build / kernel?):

Model Number: GT-P6810
Kernel Version: 2.6.36-P6810XXLB3-CL627898 [email protected] #3 SMP PREEMPT Fri Feb 10 18:22:37 KST 2012

Please, anyone who is experiencing this problem, install this DEBUG version and send me logcat when app stops working.

(Thanks, got logs)
