Samsung flagship phones have the link to windows feature which adds functionality to the Your Phone App on PCs by allowing opening of apps directly from the PC.
Below is the guide on how to get the same functionality on the A12.

NOTE: ROOT ACCESS is NEEDED for this to work.
NO NEED TO DO THE FIRST 6 STEPS IF YOU HAD FOLLOWED THE GOODLOCK FOR ONE UI CORE GUIDE AND ALREDY DONE THE STEPS

STEP 1: Download the Busybox Magisk Module and install from storage.
STEP 2: After installation finishes, restart your device.
STEP 3: Install Lucky Patcher app and under toolbox, select Patch To Android and select "Disable signature verification in package manager" and MAKE SURE you select 'Use magisk module' otherwise phone will be bricked.
STEP 4: Reboot your device.
STEP 5: Download the SAI (Split APK Installer) from the Play Store
STEP 6: In the SAI settings, enable Pro Mode, Rooted Installer and enable Sign APKs
STEP 7: Download the Link To Windows Service app from APKMirror
STEP 8: Open SAI and select the apk and install it using SAI.
STEP 9: Add the Link To Windows Quick Settings Tile.
STEP 10: Download Your Phone Companion App from the Play Store
STEP 11: Once installed, select the Link To Windows QS Tile which will take you to the Your Phone App and connect your device to your PC.
STEP 12: Once connected, the Apps feature will be available. You can open Link to Windows from the QS Tile and add the app to your Apps Screen.

Sorry, only on Samsung. The feature is exclusive to Samsung phones as Samsung has a link to windows service apk that integrates with the your phone app and also allows opening of apps. It's a parnership between Samsung and Microsoft.
