How can one telling they are truly new unused etc?

I found this (see attachment) just searching really fast.. But when I dial it in and push call it says "Connection problem or invalid mmi code." ?

I'll keep looking and if I find anything that works I'll return and relay whatever I find.

I'm not [emoji817] sure but if it's not a new one then the guy sure fooled me. [emoji23] The way it came was exactly as a device would ship new from Google. That is a good question. Person I purchased from had like the most perfect rating I'd ever seen on eBay. I always ask questions when I buy something regardless of what the item info reads on whatever it is .. My XL had Android 8.10 on it when I received it. [emoji2962] Do you know the answer to the question or were you asking? I'll see what I can find searching the subject. I'm sure there are ways and info on this.

I just got one

I just got a GPXL off ebay for $100 gak blue color but who cares really. It's amazing how much snappier it is compared to my old 5x which sadly died horribly.
So now that Google has abandoned us for security updates what is the best way forward?
Wait until someone makes a new ROM, or is there someway to just get the important security items. I've only ever played with really old Nexus phones before, some I Rom'd twice before using them for wifi cameras. Never had anything this new or nice b4.

There's Lineage 17, Evolution X and Pixel Dust 10 that are Android 10 roms thus far. I'm sure they'll push updates as they drop new builds. If you go to the original post here

I've been using it 5 or 6 days now and it's great. Plenty to choose from. We don't have a gang of Android 10 roms but the devs we have are solid and top notch! And if you wanna get real crazy with it and that's not enough roms for you you can always try some A/B 64 GSIs. There are many! I haven't messed with GSI yet on this device but that's there too. The old 5x. I loved my 5x! If they would have out the same specs that were in the 6p on the 5x it would have killed it. It was still a great phone. I had all the Nexus devices throughout time. This XL is a beast though. I love mine. Directions for installing are as always in each roms op. Some directions vary is why I say that. Just check the op and your good.

Looks like we have a little time yet:
I can't post the link, not allowed. But The Verge just announced that we will get a final cumulative in December.
I guess there's joy in that. It just bugs me they sell a flagship for $$$ and then walk away soo quickly, after all I'm still rocking an old T420s lenovo pc and Windows hasn't walked away... yet.
This phone nonsense reminds me too much of new car nonsense.

It's fun getting the old GNEX out, still running strong even after spending a year outside as an Alfred Camera. I had to bring it in, I felt like I was abusing it when it didn't deserve it.

You will definitely want to join the ops personal telegram group from where Pixel XL's Liquid remix rom thread is located. LOTS of GREAT things there for the bonito!!
