Stock is just fine but I'm on arter 11 which gives just an extra edge performance wise. I don't have time to game so I'm actually not sure why I went arter. Out of habit perhaps.

I thought kernels are that piece which is responsible for our horrible ghost touch experience, maybe you should try arter on a different rom and see how it goes.
I thought so to. I've used the same kernel on havoc and crdroid which gives ghost touch. I'm now leaning towards vendor as the culprit.
Couldn't agree more, that's the only logical explanation behind this nightmare.

My phone is on official 11.0.5.
Ghost touches make my phone almost unusable.
I have to turn on and off the screen thousand times a day.
I am now at remote area and can't get another ph either.
One night while chating with my wife, ghost touches messing with me, I got super angry and hit my phone hard with my bed.
Screen is cracked around notch area.
Lucky that sensors and camera are missed.
The most weird thing is that ghost touches are gone.
I waited 2 days for sure. No more ghost touch.
I don't understand how the hell is this possible.
But I hope you genius guys figure out something out of my experience.
I am going to replace my screen when I get back to my home town.

That's a weird story. First off it's weird that you have ghost issues on miui 11 and second that breaking the screen solved it for you.
I don't find it so weird that cracking it fixed ghost touches because the root of it seems to be that the display is reporting touches to the notch area even when it isn't touched. What seems to point even strongly in that way is because when you disable notch, gt is gone. So, if the screen is cracked there, there is no report to sensor that are touches there. My pov about this.
Now, talking about miui 11 not fixing his gt, I agree it's weird
Yes but I would assume the digitizer should break for that to happen and that would almost never happen for just such a small and specific part of the screen.
Did you try the Miroom ROM based on Android 10? The one that has root by magisk and arter 11 by default?
No. That sounds more like a port and I'm not that eager to get android 10 just yet.
Just an update. Someone said new drunk kernel resolved it. Tried with crdroid but still ghost
Havoc worked fine for an hour then ghost came back (really weird). Tried malakas with Havoc. No ghost but micro freezing instead. Had to go back to miui.
