hey man, I saw you at Validus thread, then I thought to suggest you this: for now, I don't have no ghost touches or freezes in Validus Q build. So maybe you can give it a try. Do a nandroid backup, just in case

I tried Optimus drunk, but I noticed some ghost touches after flashing it and stock also performs better

Buy a new screen on aliexpress that resolved my ghost and other touch problems. 4 months already without any ghost touch problems now

Its the only way to resolve this, xiaomi screwed up never buy this brand again

I understand who buys another display, but it isn't a hardware related issue. So for me, buying another display is the same to use a gun against a fly. Besides, MIUI 11 already fixed this and now I'm even on a custom rom and I am not facing this issue (neither screen freezes).

Im still not convinced this is a software issue buddy bcause too many people are still having these ghost/freeze issues even with the newest miui 11.

The new screen that cost me 20 dollars resolved all issues instantly i can install any kernel any rom ghost issues will never reappear again. Last 4 months i installed 20 different roms and kernels i never had any touch issues again

Well, for me miui 11 fixed it. It surely looks like as a bad drivers issue. If it was hw it would never be fixed by sw and as far as I know, miui 11 fixed ghost touches issue for a lot of ppl. Even if miui 11 didn't solve the issue for a lot of other ppl, it doesn't discard it being a sw thing, because as we have different kind of display, drivers can be conflicting or a line of code that works for fts may break the other etcetera.

ofc it should never happen or xiaomi should have recognized this problem earlier and solved it faster, but after flashing miui 11 and now in Validus OS, ghost touches are really gone here.

I'm not discarding that can be hw issue too, but I rather not switch display when I know software can solve it.

PS: when I bought poco, it didn't have any issues with display (march this year). One the updates in fw that included this problem, which really leads me into thinking of it as bad drivers issue

I flashed miui 11 and it was solved. Then I flashed Validus and the phone is still working without ghost touch and freezes. Just that. I tried Optimus Drunk kernel but ghost touches were back, so I went back to Validus stock kernel again

Before flashing validus latest, did you format data? And is validus based on Android 10 or 9? Thanks a lot

I had to format data, but only because I forgot to remove encryption/flash dfe and ended up with encrypted data. Latest Validus is android 10 based, but it's on early stage yet. Some minor bugs here (accent color non persistent after rebooting, when too many icons are on top right corner the ui doesn't handle it well) but it's pretty usable.

Tested Twisted kernel V12 on Mi room 9.12.12 and it ghost touch does not appear on normal usage, but on gaming like Mobile Legends(only game i play, atleast) the joystick still switches positions randomly.

Try the nightly version. Im experiencing ghost touch in other kernels, but when i read the comments here. I joined twisted kernel telegram channel and download the latest nightly version and then no more ghost touch. But still testing it 5 hours and still had no ghost touch.
