I have discovered here the solution for this too, my xt320 and xt687 haves this problem. Do the following:

Charge your phone with the entyre charger cable in rect line.by a long distance between the charger and the phone.

Doing this, the screen works well, because NO magnectic interference is generated by the charger and No captative magnectic interference
By the touchscreen
That is all.
I really appreciate your help!:good:
But this issue is still there even if the charging cable is fully used ....(according to one of my friend)
I think the screen layer has somehow got connected to the ground terminal of the charging port ( MAYBE ) so the whole screen layer gets conducted with negative charge when we start charging . Thus taking random touches on the screen ( this will be easier to understand if we consider how CAPACITIVE touch screen work !)

Better if we consider going to the nearest Motorola service center and show this issue .
:)

This may be caused too, because outOfBounds Amperage generated by mistanken charger, supported by the screen tension, I dislike totally lenovo, i like old motorola phones, well after gogle destroys them all.

Paranormal Moto

Even I face the same problem. Once the charging reaches 70-80% levels, the "Paranormal Activity starts.I thought it could be one off case. Tried a couple more days, but I still see the problem. Thinking to replace the phone. If the new phone also has same problem, will go for a different phone, Redmi Note3 has very good reviews.

It is not a problem per se. U cant use the phone while charging. But it charges quickly. Its called a trade-off...

Try using a normal charger(~1.5 A) , if the problem still exists, ask for a replacement or go to motorola customer service center.

Look at this huge thread...

https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/MOTO-G...oblems-phantom-touch-ghost-touch/td-p/3277853

Motorola never did anything about it.

I was hoping Moto G4 would not have this very annoying issue, but looks like it's the same story. I'm gonna get something else.

Tested your theory! You have a point! Maybe Moto didn't shield the charger well.

Hi everyone, this problem only happens if your house is not grounded. If you travel by train, you will experience the same- the ghost touch. Please check the ground of your house, this is a very important safety issue. . Especially the points of charging. It is a normal phenomena. Due to problem in your houses ground line, static is building up, this static is effecting the touch.

Phone chargers aren't grounded?
Due to lack of ground, static builds up. The static creates an extra electromagnetic field. This interferes everything.
When phone is getting charged, this static charge also happens to pass on to the metallic and glass parts(glass can hold some amount of static charge) due to induction, etc. And remember, this static charge actually harms the electronics as it always creates a reverse electromagnetic field to the flowing current. Sometime you may also feel slight shock, (or the feel that as if its vibrating) while touching the appliances.
Another thing to remember:modern touch screen doesnot use pressure sensors(resistive touch) rather the bodys electric charge is used(capacitative touch). You can always google to know more. Its simple logic.

Do you think wireless charging is a new thing?
Back in 1950s, nicolas tesla lit up a series of bulbs wirelessly, from miles away. But even modern scientist cant replicate that as tesla did not shared his secrets. Nowadays, The maximum wireless distance is 2.7cm.

Why this problem is only with G4P ? [emoji57]

I have Galaxy, MotoG2013, MMX canvas phone's.. all are with 2 Pin chargers but no such concern..

Started using Moto G4 Plus since yesterday and I'm seeing this weird problem. Phone works perfectly fine with no issues but whenever I charge the device, I'm experiencing ghost touch and severe lags. Unable to control the touch and it works fine when its not under charging. Tried different charger and still the same problem. Anyone experiencing the same problem? Should I go for replacement? Please let me know.
Same here. With or without fastcharge...

This has been happening to me since the first 1/2 hour of use. G4 amazon ads edition, not plus. Today, after not charging or using it at all for about 7 hours, I went to use it and it was having ghost touch issues. It hasn't been anywhere near a charger for 12 hours. There's a spot near the top center of the notification bar that's a bit hotter than the rest of the phone.

This can be solved. I had mine solved.
You just give your device to your nearest Service center and post the address and contact details in the ghost touch thread in Lenovo forum . Then someone from the Lenovo will contact them and guide them to solve it.
They need to reinstall the firmware in way then it will be resolved.
Have your device repaied now

Buddy I too had ghost touch issues but I never really thought it was a manufacturing defect coz they were occasional (rare).

I just found out that plugging the charger to a 15 amp (convertible)point FIXES the ghost touch.

I have occasional ghost touch on 5amp point but never on 15 amp socket..... I donno if it's the case with u. But it's worth a try.
