You Can't Fix It Bcoz The Turbo Charging Creates An Extreme Pressure On The Device And The Device Lowers Its Performance To Combat Heating Issues As Much As It Can And Thus Generates The Ghost Touch Issue And The Lag Issue Is Caused Due To The Low Frequency Or Lower Number Lf Cores online That Time.

I agree, it's related to the turbo charging, after I charge my device it becomes complety useless , now I use a low output charger, btw, it only redused the frequency of ghost touches. I'm pretty sure it's a ground issue.

This can be solved. I had mine solved.
You just give your device to your nearest Service center and post the address and contact details in the ghost touch thread in Lenovo forum . Then someone from the Lenovo will contact them and guide them to solve it.
They need to reinstall the firmware in way then it will be resolved.
Have your device repaied now
Yes, I was reading that thread on Lenovo forum and they are saying this can be fixed by service center. What makes me wonder is that they have been suggestging this ever since the phone is launched and even in the new lots, people are facing the same issue. Why can't they ensure this is fixed at the origin itself? I haven't bought this phone yet but planning to but hesitant due to this. Very irresponsible from Lenovo.

Hi,

Not much sense to post here now..not even sending them email about our problems.

I've tried everything, but there is no response from customer care support.

Looks like they don't care about the customers..they just want to make money.

Please spread bad reviews for Moto everywhere, thats only the way how we can deal with it now.

Did you visit a service center as the recommended solution? Others have stated that this fixed their problem.
@alphadog - I have some specific comments and questions on this. I have been planning to buy this phone being a loyal Moto user since Motorola Defy.

But, I can see clearly that this is a very common issue which many buyers are facing and even after months Motorola is asking to visit service center.

Now, do you think a prospective buyer knowing this will feel confident buying this?

If service center can fix the issue, why is Motorola not ensuring that this issue is fixed at the origin in subsequent lots. I can see it has been almost 4-5 months since the issue is being reported and still new buyers are facing this issue !!

This is shocking and extremely irresponsible from Motorola.

I at least won't feel confirtable handing over my new phone to Service center as I want to keep it neat and scratchless.

I am really shocked that even after so many complains Motorola has not done anything to fix this at the core.

Been a loyal Moto user but this time, saying good bye and exploring other options. Guess the Lenovo effect has taken over.

Also, extremely annoyed by the fact that Motorola has decided not to give Android N update to 3rd Gen and Moto G Turbo. Moto G Turbo hardly released a year ago. Bye bye Motorola. (after 7 years of continuous loyalty)

Use a Different Charger

Started using Moto G4 Plus since yesterday and I'm seeing this weird problem. Phone works perfectly fine with no issues but whenever I charge the device, I'm experiencing ghost touch and severe lags. Unable to control the touch and it works fine when its not under charging. Tried different charger and still the same problem. Anyone experiencing the same problem? Should I go for replacement? Please let me know.
First of all, that's not a serious issue that may happen with any of the devices with touch display. I will not go in deep working of screens but the work with the potential difference generated by our touch or sticks/stylus.
The Turbo-Power brick which is bundled in the box is the culprit, (Only for those users who are facing ghost touch while charging.)
Hereby I will like to say that "You may try using a normal charger and that check if the problem persists."

P.S.- Those users who don't have ghost touch problem while using Turbo-Power brick they will experience the same after 8-10 months. So Prevention is always Better than cure..

And I think, That bundled brick is just for emergency usage. As you described that you have chose a different charger, I would recommend that you may go for Samsung/Micosoft micro-USB pinned charger, they are Non-Fast Chargers..

hey hey hey fellas....atlast found something which satisfies everyone regarding ghost touch....the latest qualcomm has made severe changes inside turbo powered charger which couldn't able to stabilize the input voltage fluctuations. and that is why we all expirence ghost touch... i even checked my socket with Multimeter...hell yeah that was true....

atlast ive plugged stock moto turbo charger to the stabilizer, believe it or not i played nova 3 for exactly 44 mins beside charge was on !

so this caused ghost touch !

hope you guys understood :)

I experience the ghost touch phenomenon on my moto g4 while charging.

At least in my case it seems to be related to the buildup of static electricity on the screen.
I could completely eliminate the problem by sneaking a very thin strip of aluminium foil under the protective case in such a way that while charging it touches both the screen and the insulation of the charging cable.

Of course this is not a permanent solution but fine for me until I am in a situation to send in the phone under warranty.

never keep aluminum underneath active battery especially while charging ! that causes improper flow of charge which reduces battery life gradually....and that is why even in wireless charging pads no aluminum cud be found !

Unfortunately I was a bit too impetuous. I have to revoke my statement since I experience the problem again in spite of the measures described above. :(

SOLUTION?

Some people are saying that if you enable DEVELOPER Options in Configurations and Disable Hardware Overlay, it works and the ghost touches cease to exist. Could anyone try and confirm? I don´t have this problem. I have a moto G4 (not the plus).
