Ginger yoshi 1.5 (android 2.3.5) for 32b and 32a old and new radio ^_^

Well having to sell my HTC sensation but my old HTC magic is here to save the day. Yoshua keep up the good work I look forward to keeping this ROM as my daily driver for a very long time.

Your sapphire is not updated Hboot. It is still S-ON
1-Try this thread to update your Hboot to S-OFF http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=980389.
- Step by step carefully-

2-Download rom for 32A and flash it.

You can s-off mine is still s-on and the rom runs great. My phone is a 32b don't know if that changes things or not

The best and easy way for 32b is first downgrade via goldcard to 1.5 then flash Ra H recovery then flash Ginger youshi then flash HBOOT and RADIO from official FROYO OTA via flash tool , reboot and enjoy GB on your Saphire 32B

Hey guys I have a quick question, it seems that just today I went to take a picture and the picture took just fine, but just after the camera stopped working and every time i would try it would say "Could not connect to camera" what could be the problem? That and i seem to get at least 1 soft reboot a day. Thanks for your help guys

actually, i think the easiest way would be androot (1.5 or 1.6) or gingerbreak (2.2) then flash a recovery via rom manager (2.2) or some other app. then flash an eng spl and flash the 1.33.0013d spl and 2.22.28.25 radio (if you werent on 2.2). then flash whatever rom you want. skip the whole downgrading mess.

Have to admit that Yoshi still keeps the magic in the old Magic!

My Droid X2's radio died after a very long drop to concrete. Everything else looked like new, and I was surprised at that, but then surprised when my radio didn't work. So I found another droid X2 on Craigslist and bought it. But for the week in between, I used my old Magic with Yoshi and it just screamed. (Pre-paid TMob)

Maybe I'll have a different perspective after I buy a Sammy Galaxy 4, but for now the Magic isn't a lightyear behind the X2.

That is so true. If you had the stock 1.6 HTC ROM on your Magic too, you maybe remember how awful it was to use after a few weeks/months... Ginger Yoshi and other optimized ROMs make this a brand new device.

I've tested ICS & JB & Honeycomb on the phone, but even with the best available optimizations and fixes and hacks they still don't work as well as this ROM or DietGB.

My phone (HTC Google Ion) is so slow, so as to be useless. From a cold boot, it takes 4 minutes to get to the main screen, and then another 2 minutes before the screen is responsive -- no joke. Here's what I have on it (from About Phone) -- advise if something is amiss:

• Model number: Sapphire/Dream
• Android version: 2.3.5
• Baseband: 62.50SJ.20.17U_2.22.28.25
• Kernel version: 2.6.36.4-s3-ads-ics-v1.5.3 tim@corona) )
• CPU info: ARMv6-compatible processor rev 2 (v6l)
• Mem info (avail/total): 26MB / 109MB
• Mod version: Ginger yoshi 1.5
• Build number: GRI40

For Internal Storage, it reports Total space of 296MB, and an Available space of 221MB. I also have 6.7GB of my 8GB accessible, and only 43MB of that used. Under Running, 68MB of RAM is being used, and 14MB is available.

try ezgingerbread, it has lower ram usage. or try my cm7 rom, its based on newer cm source and has a few more performance tweaks (one of the last updated just magically improved performance, no idea why). and that kernel you are using, its rather experimental. made for ics with some untested tweaks. might help, might kill your cat, who knows

and if you care more about usability than shiny new features, froyo is better for the g1. look at dreamteam froyo. it is no longer maintained, but works pretty well.

If I create a bigger swap partition will it have a little more RAM to work with or is the Compcache a better choice. I find good balances with the RAM every now and then but one open app too many and BUZZ reset.

Creating the larger swap partition could help.

this rom dose need the new radio and spl 2708 for 32b
no need to flash gapps they are built in

RADIO AND SPL INFO
for 32b you need SPL 1.33.0013d and RADIO 2.22.28.25 or 27.08 just flash normal ginger yoshi
for 32a you need SPL 1.33.2010 or 1.33.2009 and RADIO you will need the old radio(3.22) flash 32a kernel
if you are on 32a new radio then download the ginger yoshi 32a new radio just flash 32a new radio
