i think he was talking about a vanilla gingerbread version for legend.

Vanilla Gingerbread doesn't and will never run on the Legend. It's incompatible to the hardware used in devices like Aria too.

What do you think the CM team has been doing since December?

Answer: A very good job!

I've been updating CM7 nightly, and aside from really just a couple of small niggles (certainly nothing major) it's running very well indeed.

It's my stable, daily driver and has been for some weeks now...
