in the guide says
Attention: Latest stock ROMs don't flash using PASSIMG.ZIP method. Use the provided latest Froyo PASSIMG, and upgrade it after flashing.
So i can't use GRI40 named passimg.zip??? Do i have to use froyo?

Since your bootloader is unlocked, you can actually use almost any shipped rom, including the latest (2.3.6) and then root. There is a recent thread in the Nexus Dev forum that has that image - get it from there.

Thanks to everybody...I'm searching the shipped rom because i didn't find it...when i found it i use the restore nexus one guide on XDA wiki (naming it in passimg and simply flashing after wipe). If u have some link post an answer thank you

I just got a new nexus one, FINALLY!! Is there an automatic update to gingerbread. The current os is 2.2.1, is the manual installation the only way.

Unlock the bootloader, you can use fastboot to flash the phone back to a working state.
