I am very new to all of this, is there anyway someone can help me?

my problem is that the phone is hardbricked screen wont turn on and when I connect it to the pc it sounds like it connects and disconnects constantly.

I have a one plus 9 global if I remember correctly it is LE2115, but obviously I cant access anything since I dont have an OS and cant even fastboot so I was reading and found this the MSM, but after installing the qualcomm drivers and doing the disable signatures, when I double click on the msm tool it says ''packed image not exist!''. Honestly I don't know what to do, I would really apreciate it if someone could help me. Thanks.

I continued reading and someone said that the msm tool had to be opened in the same drive as you windows OS, now it kinda opens, but just goes ''preparing'' and crashes.

Update on status:
managed to open the program (MSM), but can't manage to put my phone in edl mode. I just get the driver connecting and disconnecting.

When you say hard brick, that means brick because of hardware issue. I think you meant to say soft brick (which means hardware is fine but issue lies with software).

As for the MSM tool, download link in first post doesn't contain full MSM tool. Files are missing. Follow my post right above your post (which I assume you already did and managed to fix your phone hopefully).

i can confirm that the MSM tool provided at this link for the global variant works just fine.... this thread has gotten very confusing with people asking for so many different versions of the MSM... but if you go to this link, everything is nicely organized to find what you need. i only used the GLOBAL one so ultimately i can only verify that one works.... but the INDIA and TMOBILE version are located at this link as well. Downloads fine.

Hi onePlus user and xda-developer users!
My onePlus 9 global LE2115 is stock at the first screen where it say: "Orange State...." after I made a mistake trying installing Lineage OS. I send the 3 command to flash partition. I did it while on fastboot mode instead of the recovery one.

fastboot flash dtbo dtbo.img
fastboot flash vbmeta vbmeta.img
fastboot flash vendor_boot vendor_boot.img

I want the remedy the situation and my internet keep on directing me on this page. Unfortunately, the first post link to the windows driver is broken. Plus, there is no executable file in the zip downloaded from first post link for MSM tool.

My questions:
Can those link be updated?
Is there a way to accomplish the same result (unbrick and return to factory os) on linux?

You don't have to use MSM Tool yet. You can still install LineageOS. I see from your commands that you did not read enough and clearly did not follow instructions on LineageOS forum about OnePlus 9. So head over there again, read the instructions once again and understand the whole process without junping anything. It's not that hard.

I can see that you did not flash boot.img which is necessary in order to enter LineageOS recovery. Then you can sideload ROM zip.

any MSM will get you to A13. Its just a matter of how many OOS updates you may need to do afterward.
I believe my phone from OP A13 first official release straight jumped on nameless.... question is do I need to download any firmware before hand? If so, you have link can share? Thanks 🙏

FW on then op is A11 , if I'm on A13 don't think I can go backwards..

Any MSM toolkit for OP9 will get you on OOS, regardless of when you bought your OP9.

Ok, so after going through this entire thread over and over again, it's clear to me that the most up-to-date MSM tool that is actually working and has gotten me back to stock in late 2022 is this one:

Now just for reference, I had a completely BRICKED OnePus 9 LE25AA (Global Version), and this MSM has gotten me back to Android 11 on OOS 11.2.10.10. Just to help those out who are looking at this thread in 2022 and aren't wanting to look through this entire discussion.

Hope this helps you out! :)

MSM tool for our device is totally screwed up. Something happened and Oneplus wont acknowledge it. They know about it though. The MSM tool will not work.
I have an OP9 and tried every regional variants MSM tool without success.
The only MSM tool that will work with many OP9 devices is the OP9 Pro - India tool. It has to be the India version for some reason.
Once you recover with the OP9 Pro India tool, then flash with correct OP9 image. Then do it again to flash both slots. Thats the only thing that worked for me and many others.

I've been using OnePlus phones since their launch now nearly 10 years ago. I remember that they were heavily supported by the developer community, as Nexus soon made its way out.

Things change. Boy, do they ever.

Price right up there with Samsung et al.
Updates and support (hello, MSM?) lagging further and further behind.
Devs' phone? Ha! We don't even have a fully functional TWRP (now granted, that's not on OP but a reflection on our community's waning interest in OP).

    I'm thinking Pixel 6 Pro.

Sorry for the off topic rant.
