Hi all

Just wanted to check if any one is facing battery drain with the new gmail v4.3.1. Gsam battery monitor says that 25‰ of total battery was eaten up by gmail. Any ideas how to solve this issue? I do have 3gmail accounts but this drain started happening after the update....

what do you guys think?

25% of the total battery power...this is how I calculated it...

Gsam reported 80% of the total battery was used by apps running. Of this, 31% is accounted by Gmail..so 31% of 85% = 24.8%...

Has anyone else faced this issue??

Have you got auto sync on? Try turn it off and sync manually to see if it reduces the drainage drastically. Anyway even with sync on 25% is way too much.

I have two gmail accounts which are on auto sync all the time. Use them both for work that means I use them a lot :) never seen that gmail would cross 2% of battery usage.
