How? No usb connection, Erecovery does not update higher, computer does not see the phone
Then I am out of suggestions, you can flash manually through HiSuite+ proxy - maybe just upgrade to low Emui 11 version and check OTA? Or try to wipe phone in recovery and see if it wont update through ota after that?
Did you manage to get OTA or any other update to fix phone at the end?But I can't do anything, no usb connection. Reset doesn't help. Stuck at .176
You could try different combinationsof rom, cust and preload. They are not interchangeable. Preload is, in most cases, but not always.Hi again,
watch the video you've sent and did exactly what he says, at the end I got software install failed screen.
I am also sending you veneer info, and the rom, cust and preload I choose.
And also checked roll back OS option.
Hope you can help me..
I am so close to throw this phone away
For sure is not needed to downgrade your EMUI version.Hello guys,
I have a P40 pro, almost one year old now. Immediately, as I bought it in December 2020, I installed Google Services using the “original” fix from ictfix.net with Ggooglefier. I worked from the first shot, no issues.
Meanwhile, the phone worked like a charm during all this period, I upgraded to EMUI 11, I updated all the Google apps manually, never had a problem… until last week when suddenly, without updating/upgrading anything the phone started to bombard me with “This device isn’t Play Protect certified”. Of course, the google apps (some of them) stopped working. Also push notifications (that are used for an app to connect to my job tools) doesn’t work anymore.
Somebody recommended me to apply this solution:(in Spanish). It worked in his case (P40 Lite) without problems. This presumes uninstalling Google Play Services and re-install them from that archive, in steps, updating it to the last version. Well… in my case it did not work. The same bloody message + Google apps not working.
I read this topic, I kind of understood the issues (not entirely), but I am not an expert on Android phones and I am afraid to try exotic solutions (downgrading the phone, ADB , HiSuite Proxy, etc.). I really love my phone, it worked like a charm until last week, is there any chance to recover my phone or I just have to sell it ?
Please help me!
Thanks @badmania98 , I managed to solve this issue using your V3 solution. For sure is not needed to downgrade your EMUI version.
Try to read my thread too. Maybe you will find a solution.
Hello! Because I answered to the same questions on different threads, I decided to create this thread, where I will provide my experience to you, in one place. The followings messages (2-7) contain all major info and tutorial links from this...forum.xda-developers.com
Of course it keeps failing. 10.0.1.100 is NOT USABLE anymore. Bender007 is too lazy to update it in his guide. You need a different version 10.0.1.550 (grab it here https://github.com/ProfessorJTJ/HISuite-Proxy/releases/download/2.3.5/Hisuite_10.1.0.550_OVE.zip ) this one works for HiSuiteProxy and EMUI 11 tested up to 188.8.131.52.
My version info , The config I needed . Your phone model and build is identical to me. Preload (R4/R5/R6) does not matter, as it only differs in preinstalled apps. You can use the packs from huaweifirmware that I have in the pictures.
Go with 10.1.0.121 , select the combination I have above, and most of all: use 10.0.1.550 for it.
No. You need 10.0.1.550 for downgrades.
You can do it but you won't have USB.UPDATE3 So Hisuite 10.0.1.100_OVE cant downgrade to Emui 10 from 11 according to this post by author of Hisuite Proxy. By using latest version of Proxy from author website and by selecting fw 184.108.40.206 I got it working and downgrading from .223 to .151 - now I hope it will be possible to go down to Emui 10 by official Hisuite.
You messed it up. YOu should have gone directly to EMUI 10 using proxy. 220.127.116.11 is not suitable for downgrades, it is not a rollbackable firmware. Now your only option is for eRecovery to fix it for you as you wouldn't have USB anyway. So you go to the latest version of EMUI 11 and THEN directly go down to EMUI 10, 10.1.0.121.
You will if you keep jumping corners. Don't try to experiment, this is dangerous enough already.
You just need to fix your Play certificate to stop those annoying play protect messages.
Yes, they added additional verifications. Yes, that was probably targeted against this hack, among others.
What you need is simply to download this pack:
MediaFire is a simple to use free service that...www.mediafire.com
And then uninstall Google Play Services
then install this one: 7-GSM Play Protect certified Fix.apk
And the spam notifications should be gone.
Replacing Google Play Services with this app will force-regenerate your Play certificate,
and this version of Google Play Services does not have the problematic check in question.
Still you should NOT update Google Play Services as the latest version DOES have the check that will trigger this event again.
You do NOT NEED to install anything else from this pack.
Actually you could reupload this with only this file present.
Yes, it is missing that option. It is not supported anymore, and if you force it, you WILL HAVE PROBLEMS.
If you REALLY want to downgrade you can use HiSuiteProxy and an older version of HiSuite. However I don't recommend this for 3 reasons:
- it is unneccessary
- it is dangerous. You WILL lose USB connectivity after the upgrade, and you can only regain it when you update again to the latest system software version. And you can only do it with OTA.
- You can very easily brick your phone if you use HiSuiteProxy as it bypasses many of the firmware validation checks
+1 Huawei is changing things around with the latest HiSuite. Older versions will not work for software updates/downgrades for much longer.
