OK, see link here from freeza http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1743923

and here is a post on one the pages from the thread...

LG2 Firmware: The baseband update will automatically create a backup on your internal storage incase anything goes wrong or you would like to revert.
Baseband/Modem L710VPLG2: This needs to be flashed with CWM/TWRP.

How does one go about using this backup to revert back to LF9? Ive tried flashing the one via odin, completes, but still on LG2, was wondering if maybe the backup would work but i have no idea how to use the backup as its not in zip/tar format. "

How do you go back to the LF9 modem...

re flashing the firmware does not get you back to LF9...how does one restore the "backup" that is done by updating, via CWM, to LG2...supposedly, there is a backup on the root of sdcard....how does one make it work?

Thanks all!

me 3, LG2 not acting right with Airave, can't get more than 10 feet away, signal drops all the way down, 3g disconnects. LF9 was better IMO.
There/you might also be victim of a bad or limited tower too.. Some of that is happening... Which hurts Airave from my understanding....

Your airave is signal strength has nothing to do with tower stregnth. Your data on the airave is dependant on your router, and the gps on the airave is for location info only.

Just bought a brand new Cisco router, signal was fine with lf9 modem, now it flucuates drastically, and constantly drops 3g, then regains it quickly. My airave has a reserved ip and top priority on my network. I guess I could revert to stock temporarily and see if Sprint may have to reprogram anything on their end.

I spoke with Freeza and he gave me a .zip that is flashable in CWM that will flash your modem back to the modem.backup that was made when you flashed the LG2 modem update. I have uploaded the .zip to my Dropbox. I have permission from Freeza to repost it to you all so all the thanks goes to Freeza!

Edit: I have flashed this on my Sprint Galaxy S3 and I can verify that it did flash back to the previous modem I had installed on my phone.

Thanks... But I borked mine by trying to do it another way... Here's hoping someone can make an lf9 flashable or img. Can't rely on my alleged backup file that I screwed with.... Sigh.... Thanks klarthur!

Just sent freeza a pm... Hope I can get some love... Or at least help! :D:D:D

OK, I have uploaded to my dropbox the LEN (original version) of the modem.

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/54142362/modem.backup

Place this file on the root of your sd card. You may already have a "modem.backup" file, overwrite it with this one.

Then, use the link provided above my post from klarthur, this "script" will get rid of LG2 and use the modem backup file. (Gotta be in CWM, of Course) It will get you to base LEN modem. Hope this helps.

BTW, LEN is working great for me. Almost like the old OG epic arguments about which was the best radio, many stuck with the old EC05 or EL22, which were good ones in the day...:victory:
