I put the phone back to factory to test it out.
So usage time 13h 4g
SOT 3 hours
At 50 % battery albeit first cycle so interested to see if its any better going forward.
Notifications work correctly now:good:
Who ever thought deciding whether to switch phones or not would be stressful
Yup, although I did the update first when I got my phone, then installed gms.Maybe I should reinstall gms? Think I'm gonna try it stock for a while and see how much of an inconvenience it is living in the Huawei eco
Netflix works fine version 7.52
Second cycle so far
15h usage
SOT 3h
73% battery left

Just had a software update to. . 114 are gms services still working after the update anyone?
This one.Hi,
Which method/backup did you use? I have noticed there are at least two different backups being used so maybe one could be better than the other in terms of battery efficiency?
I am much happier with the current cycle but still far from your results...
Will post mine once this cycle is about to finish.
Cheers,
L.
Yup, 10.1.0.114. The only other version I've had was 10.1.0.109 (which was the preinstalled one)What software version are you on now.. 114?
Ive had 2 updates now.
Using 90Hz and without Google you get ~ 7h SOT (50% LTE/50% Wifi), using Google you'll get around 10% less SOT.screen on time seems really bad with google services...
Some reviews got 10h screen on time with quite heavy(but not full blown) usage.
No, you won't have to reinstall.Do we know if gms needs reinstalling after every Huawei update?
Oh that's great news about not having to reinstall gms after a software update.
The only thing stopping me from installing the gms is the possible security risk of the modded files and then putting your login details in for the Google accounts...
Same! Would be nice if anyone could shine some light on thus.
And Netflix version 7.52, does it support HD then?
That's quite impressive, I'm tempted to put gms back onto this device.? Which is the best method atm?
Jsut finished the best battery cycle so far with GMS, getting closer to the results I was expecting. It's like the battery is getting better if that makes sense?
Much happier now
Most of the day using the camera and netflix and the usual social networking...
Used 22 h 6 min
8 h 38 min SOT
Cheers,
L.

Yea I am really interested in this too. I watched the video here:and downloaded the file from the description, but Sophos flagged the file as containing Andr/Bckdr-RWI. Not sure if this is a false positive but going to wait until some more comprehensive feedback from the lovely XDA community.
Are you sure you got notification in real time in Gmail and others app like it? I Got from Gmail once a day but not in real time when I get a new mail.
Likewise its not real time notifications. I think this is still an issue no matter what method you use at the moment
