That's very close to my last cycle with GMS. I had 21h usage, 6 hours SOT and 4% left. :good:

This.. Haha. I'm still doubting to buy this phone. I can live with most the lack of Google apps, only chromecast and Strava are holding me back a bit. Please keep posting your experiences here guys!
screen on time seems really bad with google services...
Some reviews got 10h screen on time with quite heavy(but not full blown) usage.

Maybe I should reinstall gms? Think I'm gonna try it stock for a while and see how much of an inconvenience it is living in the Huawei eco

It seems the same as the other ones but only this one worked for me (I probably messed up the other times)
Yup, 10.1.0.114. The only other version I've had was 10.1.0.109 (which was the preinstalled one)
Using 90Hz and without Google you get ~ 7h SOT (50% LTE/50% Wifi), using Google you'll get around 10% less SOT.

Oh that's great news about not having to reinstall gms after a software update.
The only thing stopping me from installing the gms is the possible security risk of the modded files and then putting your login details in for the Google accounts...

never. you need the widefine certification then, and without google you wont ever get that.
Jsut finished the best battery cycle so far with GMS, getting closer to the results I was expecting. It's like the battery is getting better if that makes sense?

Just to be clear here, I can and do receive real time instant notifications for ALL apps that I use. That said, I don't use Gmail, I use Nine for my mail client but, everything I use alerts instantly and I get as many alerts a day as is required by the individual app .e.g. I might get 10 or more alerts from Nine per day.
The method I used differs from the others I have seen in that it focuses on removing the GSF ID and generating a new one in order to stop the nag messages from Google.
