I need just the system.img. I don't need a zip file. I want to build off stock as close as possible. I can't extract it from the zip I have now.
I don't have that but maybe look here https://androidfilehost.com/?a=show&w=files&flid=213499 or here https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=153148 I know one of those backups in the first link is a stock unrooted backup of B180 to be used in twrp recovery

Sorry all I had seen was the word Nexus, It's working great, very buggy with Xposed or is that with every rom on this device? Anyway's I check into it :)
I thought the exact same thing, haha. Unfortunately way too much was stripped out, namely huawei system apps that replaced vital system functions like battery optimization. Even after patching them back in, push notifications were still broken. I'd stick with stock and debloat systemlessly (doesn't save you much space, and you don't have access to that free space on your data partition anyway), or swift and fast b170/b180 by madvane.

Fwiw, running madvane's swift b180 with magisk 15.3 installed via recovery and xposed v89r5 installed via the unity installer from the magisk repo. Works flawlessly so far, so smooth I keep having to make sure xposed is actually running. .

Everytime I use magisk I have problems, like the modules will never work (gives off a installation error) or device will get in a bootloop when I go to uninstall it, you got any solutions sir. I even tried the flashable zips from their forum there must be something I'm doing wrong for this.

I am noticing this phone doesn't have a lot of development and this phone is a really nice one. It's fast and it runs anything I throw at it. I want to start porting some ROMs and maybe compile a kernel for it and see what this baby can do more. Any ideas on what ROMs you want me to port and I will start from there? Thanks guys.
Is it possible to goto Nougat or Oreo?

I'm so desperate for Lineage
Omg, me too.. part of ghe reason I got a huawei phone is because of how much I missed one years back that I put cyanogenmod on. Huawei used to be opensource friendly, figured they'd be better than the cheap moto's and lg's I've had since..

I guess the sticking point here is having to build a device tree by hand, which from my understanding takes a ridiculous amount of testing and guesswork. Basically like having to install a bunch of drivers in windows, but not knowing what hardware you have, so you need to make informed guesses to try out each one, one by one. There's some smart devs around here, sure someone will figure it out.

I love this phone, I had a LG Phoenix 2 before and it was a pain it really was not worth the 80$ there is not enough RAM or whatever to keep Nova Launcher Prime open literally every time I hit the home button I have to wait 10 seconds for the widgets and app on my homescreen to pop up then another 5 seconds for the app drawer. But anything I put against this phone it has taken. Exactly why I'm hyped for this port. lol

I used to check this forum a few times a month with hopes that someone much smarter than myself managed to build a working lineage rom, or non-emui rom (not that i dont appreciate all the hard work many people have put into the 'stripped' emui roms, im using one myself)..but I gave up hope a long time ago, assuming there is just not enough interest in this phone. And im aware that it is no easy task compiling a rom essentially from scratch. Anyway, i hopped on the forum for the first time in 6+ months only to find this thread staring back at me....and my hopes have been slightly rekindled. It would just be awesome to see how this phone runs with something like lineage. Fingers crossed...and i would be willing to do some testing need be. Best of luck AMD_1986, and thanks for giving it a shot!

Flash the B160 back to stock rom here > https://forum.xda-developers.com/hu...uide-how-to-update-b130-to-b140-b150-t3555254

instructions are pretty simple

The Flash instructions are the same as any rom flash on this phone
Step one is to Boot to the bootloader and boot H1611.TWRP.New.img
fastboot boot H1611.TWRP.New.img
Swipe to allow modifications to System
then choose Mount and check system and cust
Select Storage Micro SDcard
Next is install and choose your Bxxx_Full_Update.zip
Swipe to flash
Reboot

That's really all their is too it, Just choose the File below that you want to update or downgrade too

Note: The phone always loads the AT&T logo and reboots the first time and then loads normally
First boot will take you to the setup screen if you formatted data

Another thing i noticed while test flashing these files is that the Data partition becomes Encrypted after the flash
This means before you can restore a data backup or flash a Rom like CleanRom (it includes data) you'll need to Format Data to UN-encrypt it
