I love ALMOST everything about the recent change. It doesn't give me the option of choosing an app when activating multi window. It only gives me the option to pick from what's in recent. So if I close all recent apps...I can't multi window. Any fix for this?

That option is there when I used the normal recents without the apk. But I hear you
I too noticed the absence of being able to choose any app in multi window, not just the recent ones. But there's nothing we can do. Maybe a dev could "repair" it, but i doubt it will happen.
I don't like the new recents at all. To much scrolling to find an app. I like the new stock oreo ones, in my opinion definitely better. See picture and tell me if they are not better. :)

multiwindows in new task manager works only from an opened app screen, not directly from home screen
1) open an app
2) go to task manager
3) drag one of the previously opened apps to blu area up or down the screen

+1
Looks good, but a bit impracticable in daily use. Regarding multi window, if you long press 'recent' whilst in a app then it works.

Do you mean these Settings.

Did you even read what the original poster posted ?
Because none of your answers makes any sense regarding his question. Please read it again, it's the first post on the previous page.

- multi windows can be activated anywhere (not only in recent apps) with gestures from upper corner of the screen (see advanced settings)
- for split screen: after having opened two applications from task manager, new applications can be opened in the lower half of the screen by pressing related icons even in home screen or in app drawer

Did you install that APK first or last? Maybe you installed it in a different way than the rest of us, instead on the from the top down from the zip file
I installed them in the order of the zip file, but I already had installed the recents file and edge lighting+. I have the new messaging installed also.

And you still don't get it. Lol. And you are confusing multi window with pop up window. I'm out.
