This thread has already been started in the general section but this seemed like a more appropriate place for it.

Samsung released an alternative UI for Touchwiz 6.0.1 that is available on the Galaxy Store for the Galaxy S7. I, however, have been using this for some time now on the N910P.

All you have to do is download the APK and install as normal. Your device will say that it needs to reboot. Once rebooted the new UI will be in place.

For any modifications merely swipe the notification bar down twice and you will see a second settings button. From there you can modify the theme and lockscreen or uninstall.

This new UI seems to change the lockscreen, recent menu and the notification pull down. See screenshots below.

Note: To set lockscreen picture, do so from your normal settings menu.

Note: Fingerprint lock on the lockscreen has not been working but I have not tested it on the update.

Another Note: I did not create this, I merely downloaded, installed and then shared with you guys. I believe Samsung created it...

Here are some screenshots of the UI

New update on this app brings some bug fixes and more customization.

Thanks , this app seems quite good, is there any way to check stats on the old task manager and see the free memory ? using this app only shows the recent apps list

P.S. it would be better if you posted smaller screenshots or links to them..

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing but when I tried it was taking too much time so I just went with what was easiest lol.

I just reverted to stock and updated OTA to PD1 and rooted. Once I get everything set up I will post some performance stats with and without Good Lock. Thanks for the suggestion.

i don't find it heavy on resources at all, oh yea, just make sure you set unlock effect to None. i find it a refreshed welcome change for the good, i was merely asking how to check task manager cause after my optimisation i had about 1.4gb ram in use on boot, wanted to check what was it after good lock installed.

Gotcha, I am playing around with replacing the system UI (launcher not MM UI) with Good Lock to see if it will have a positive affect of performance

Good lock got updated today, when using the play store version, trying the "recents" menu crashed good locks and causes it to be uninstalled. Can you upload the new version from the galaxy store because that seems to be working?

It doesn't work for me.
I am using nova launcher and fingerprint scanner and all if them stops working and when I tap on settings the screen goes black.
When I go to Samsung apps store this message appears

Here is a video on the sprint version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLU7KW0E2m0 and it doesn't work for you because of the finger print unlock. That breaks it on the note 4 !

So why the error message said that it's not compatible with my device.

And after I installed it and reboot my device I couldn't see any icons, also when I tried to go to settings the screen went black.

I think not only fingerprint lock issue, also I am using nova launcher not TouchWiz.

So If any developer could port this app it will be better.

There are some users also faced the same issues that I faced.
