Apparently the guys from "DXOMARK" have gotten their hands on the Xperia z3+ and put it through their tests.To my surprise Sony seems to have finetuned their great sensor to the extent that an xperia device occupies the third place in "DXOMARK" top: http://www.dxomark.com/Mobiles/Sony-Xperia-Z3-Plus-review-Improved-rankings-for-latest-iteration
What are your thoughts on this?Is there any way to port Z3+'s camera wizardry to our beloved Z2? )

You can port the camera app but 70% of the features wont work and camera quality wont be changed.

Why ?

Well the hardware doesnt change and nor does the camera driver in the kernel

Maybe some changes will happen due to FW/SW libs but at best we wont see much change nor improvement for quality

As for features working, Z2 doesnt have manual camera control unlike Z3+.

Camera from Z3+ is not better than one in Z2.Z2 can expand much for quailty in manual mode so finally results would be almoust the same like Z3+.
