It is almost the same
http://shouji.tenaa.com.cn/Mobile/M...UU6WSMexsBAnYYICTPAJ2o9DkVWA4j8I5qwd2UsZvaQ==

20X 174.60 x 85.40 x 8.2 mm
X10 174.46 × 84.91 × 8.3 mm

But it feels like it would be a Mate 20X lite, with IPS, trash camera compare to 20X, no Google, a few LTE bands, but with dual 5G...
The 64GB version will be $300 and the 128GB will be $380. Not bad at all.

Cam isnt that bad. Display is 1080 which is good.

No google? I'm sure it can be side loaded.

Hopefully its compatible with tmobile USA. We'll see come July 2nd.

This need to be cheap af, IPS and the weakest Mediatek of all 3, with dual camera and nothing more.

If you click on the link you can already see all supported bands.

hmmm. I finally broke a screen.

Was taking trousers off and tripped a little with them around ankles, phone was in pocket on 45 degree angle from being on top of one foot, stepped on the phone's mid section with my other foot and I heard the noise, felt the quick crunching sound and just knew it was broken even before I picked it up and looked.

Quite a pretty break actually ... sigh ... phone still worked, but you know... need that **** fixed.

Got a price for official Huawei replacement from a place that takes me an hour each way to get to. It was a little weird (maybe the translation was incorrect) but this place gave me a 185 US dollar-ish quote if I didn't want the damaged screen returned or a 130 dollar quote if they could keep the original screen. Weird, hey?

Not sure if that price option and screen return is some sort of insurance or warranty scam, but at least it was a legit screen replacement. Of course, though, the place is an annoyingly long way out of my way for me, so I found a closer place (about 300 meters from where I live actually), that would do for 120 US. Went with that as they could also do within three hours.

Long story short ... probably made a mistake. Picked it up as it was still being worked on and had visible horizontal stains... and the guy said it was still drying. He even removed some of them with a scalpel.......... I don't know, but think I really should have gone with the first place. He reckoned the stains would disappear soon, but I wasn't' sure, so I said I will pick it up tomorrow and pay for it then... I mean, I reckon I now will have a dodgy screen replacement. Bugger... Anyway, will pick it up tomorrow and I suppose have to pay for it, but if it is a crap job, I will look at another phone. to maybe have to now pay the 185 dollars from the first place - how annoying.

Cool story, hey bro?

sigh

Thinking about a possible replacement... rather than spend another 185 bucks. Keep the mate20x for my son, and maybe go the oneplus 8pro. Maybe it really is goodbye Huawei. Bugger my clumsiness.

Update - had an ultra annoying conversation with the guy who repaired... He says the stripes I can see are normal and I won't notice under normal use. Just annoying all around. Anyway, I will try to put up with the screen as is - in most conditions I can't see these horizontal stains. While I initially refused to pay for more than just parts, there's not much I can do really, except pay the dude. and learn that sometimes cheaper is not the way to go for product satisfaction.

I've tried - Can't deal with these stripes on the replacement screen. Certainly a lesson in how a foreign culture and tech industry works... Will need to tap out of this. Expect I will move to the oneplus 8 pro by the end of August and will keep this as a back up or a phone for my son to use. Certainly, I cannot sell it with a screen like this.

You can't imagine what I would like to do with the bloke who 'fixed' it.

Fun story and a good lesson not to take the most cheap solution always.

In my country Denmark this could not happen, because we have laws where things have to be done properly or we can get the money back when we make a complaint.

Yeah, the lack of customer protection where I am based is something I should have been more aware of. Still looking at the oneplus8 pro - will make decision by late August. Can't see anything else that will be around by then - not willing to wait for 8t or other phone that might appear in late sept. Think there large phone with flagship cam and chip has come and gone
sadly,

ok - I am out!

And you know, no matter how good Huawei have been - they are DEAD in the WATER once post Mate 40... Was so much fun while it lasted ... for me the greatest phone, and almost the most painful (ok, actually Sammy Note 4 you own that title still). I will keep the phone and it will go to wifey as a second business phone, but ...

I have gone to the oneplus 8 pro and will receive that tomorrow. Hello, unlocked bootloader, google assistant and option to have a LAUNCHER!!! YES!!!!!!

Peace, love and CHEERS!

Con grats.
I don't like curved display...

My M20X have nova launcher and Google assistant and bootloader i can easily live without, especially because i don't see any alternative out there... At all.

Ever since the latest update I can't leave this phone. I've been getting 10+ hours sot on a single charge and it seems to be running better than it ever has!

Update? oh man, I miss the battery. I like the 120 blah blahblah and ****... but oh, I miss the battery!

ok - 27-11-2020 isn't so bad now, battery was starting to go crazy bad on my oneplus and I was needing to charge twice a day. Was on Beta 3... so, it got an update (beta 4) and I removed Amazon photos as something was connecting my media storage and chewing battery. Seems to be fixed now, so almost comparable to the mate 20x now... which is a big relief. As, moving forward, that was going to be a massive problem adjusting from the Mate20x. Now, I hear old Kiring Chips are going to be updated to the new Harmony ... Oh man ... I am glad I kept my mate20x for son's phone as now, I will be ab;e to see if it is a viable option in the future for a mate 50x (lol - I know it won't happen), or a foldable Mate3x ... Fingers crossed, although I suspect the whole Locked Chinese ecosystem will not be a viable option for a non-chinese ecosystem needy client like me.

I managed to snag a brand new note 10 plus 5g for £360. I moved over to that device and I'm moving back to my mate 20x.

How Samsung can charge an RRP of over £1000 for that phone is beyond me.

My mate 20X is faster in all aspects apart from downloads... In 5g areas.

12 gig of ram on the Note? Pointless.

And the battery life is night and day in comparison...

The curved screen is such a gimmick too!

Back to the Mate 20X it is...

I'd still be using my Mate 20, except for an accident and mess up with repair. I will say though, that the oneplaus 8pro (also I got it at Cheaper Chinese price) has actually been ok. But, yeah. Battery I miss. My 8 pro has recently displayed more resilience, but still, If I choose to do something silly like take video for an hour and keep the screen display on for 30 minute like I did today, it will be done and dusted by 6 or 7 pm. With the mate 20x, I would not have cared two hoots. Keeping an eye on the old beast in 2021 to see what Harmony will flow like. Man, how good would a mate 50x be?
