Is there a way to activate Google Assistant via holding the fingerprint reader?

I don't think so...but i know while the phone is off you can say "OK, Google" to launch assistant.

Long pressing the home button activates it as well...

OK Google on screen off only works if you don't have a lock screen password though (which makes sense).

I'm sure this can be done over time here at XDA. I'm more interested in seeing page scrolling with fingerprint reader.

I would have assumed it would just answer your questions without unlocking the phone fully.
