General Google Assistant on watch 4 (wear OS)

looks like it's live now... it's the 24th in south korea, where samsung is headquartered ... lol. maybe they were waiting for 7AM korea time on the 24th?

Also successfully installed in Germany. Localized with German language (voice) output. Love it <3

Got it here on the Play Store in the UK... Is it just me or if using adb commands to set the display scale below .80 that the voice feedback from google assistant breaks up and the app will crash with "sorry something's gone wrong" I had my text tiny at 0.65 and the app was buggy, i rebooted watch (which resets the display scale back) and Assistant worked fine, as soon as i pull the scaling down again it's glitchy.

Unfortunately the official GA isn't avaible in a lot of country (my poor Italy included)... There Is a way to sideload the apk and make It work? Speaking english isn't a problem.

Does it work also with the home button? I can start it from the launcher only. (It's already set as default assistant.)

Yes, you can set it for double press.

I assume I should be able to use it with long press as the default assistant. If Bixby is default it's the one working with long press but when I set GA to default, long press just brings up a Bixby like screen and it stops immediately.

Ok, i managed to install the apk, but when i open it, it says continue setup on phone, then it opens on the phone and after a while i get the error "couldnt connect to your watch". The watch is connected to a phone by bluetooth. Anyone knows how to proceed after this?

You have the Assistant set up on your phone as well ?

OK my bad. It's working now. I had to explicitly set long press to bring up Assistant on my phone in the Galaxy Wearable app. Settings on my watch weren't enough...

Yeah, GA was already set up on my phone. Just had to set it on the Galaxy Wearable phone app also. Thanks!

Maybe do a restart for the phone and the watch as well.

yeah, i already tried that. i also tried talking to assistant on my phone "setup assistant on my watch" then it searched for the devices but couldnt find any. Im in croatia, btw, 'unsupported" country but i see from post before that shouldnt be the problem. maybe i could try factory reset on the watch and phone later today, dont know what else i could do.

I can't find the point to activate/turn off "Hey Google"

Edit 1: Problem solved ... I clear the assistent app to setup again. The first version of Assistent app is very empty.. no way to setup anything.

Have you installed the assistant apk on the watch? It sounds like you have installed it on your phone.
