Meh....a camera dev already has got gcam to work on A50 by enabling cam2api using adb and is modding gcam for the same (currently WIP).Camera2 is not available so it will not work. Buy Snapdragon phone for gcam.
Awesome! Sounds promising. I also tried many exynos versions from CelsoAzevedo website. Using the MGC_6.1.021_BSG_Arnova_TlnNeun_4lens_V1.3.030119.0645-02d apk (posted on 31st March) with HDR settings doesn't seem to crash the app which was usually happening with almost all the gcam ports mentioned in this thread so far.Meh....a camera dev already has got gcam to work on A50 by enabling cam2api using adb and is modding gcam for the same (currently WIP).
Did you enable cam2api? I guess not. So that's the reason behind night sight and portrait. Stock photos will obviously be better without cam2api.Awesome! Sounds promising. However the night sight doesn't work and neither does the portrait mode. Additionally, I'm not sure if the gcam from this apk is "actually" doing anything because when comparing the photos from the samsung camera app, I always found the stock camera photos to be better than the ones taken from this gcam port.
A gcam modder working for A50 suggested me to follow this video:Camera Id : IMX 576.
Samsung galaxy A50 has imx 576 sensor, just checked
that using various device info apps on playstore.

Can anyone tell me how to get into fastboot mode on galaxy A50 ?
Or just tell me how to enable camera2api without unlocking bootloader & affecting OTA updates.
I know the usual method on devices like asus & redmi, not sure how to do this on samsung.
As the phone is very capable & it also has IMX576 sensor to back it up.
Please guide me on this, cheers![]()
While using Gcam in A50 I could see my camera lens moving. Is it normal? Never saw this while using Gcam in Mi A1Did you enable cam2api? I guess not. So that's the reason behind night sight and portrait. Stock photos will obviously be better without cam2api.

Yes, you're right. He was the one who recommended me that video. And, just now I saw that names of both of you are same.Hey man,
I guess you were replying to my friends comments on youtube or you've seen one from #SumedhShinde on YouTube. He is working on gcam, he personally replied to me & told me to wait for a month as he's expecting samsung is going to push a major camera update, esp related to 4k n all. He also told me, 4k is working using open camera or any other 3rd party camera.
He also suggested me the video, but also stated there's a workaround for fastboot mode in samsung.
Thanks.
I don't know about that. While using Gcam in A50 I could see my camera lens moving. Is it normal? Never saw this while using Gcam in Mi A1
Well i use his name to fanboy i guess lol, he lives in my locality, and he's the one suggested me to get on xda to help him post his stuff, so i just made this dummy account to tinker around myself. The guy is pretty busy doing some serious stuff and because of you now he knows I've created dummy account, atleast he was cool about it xo.Yes, you're right. I don't know about that.
Yes, I know about that GPU stuff and open gl and vulkan support is better on A50 than note 7 pro.Well i use his name to fanboy i guess lol, he lives in my locality, and he's the one suggested me to get on xda to help him post his stuff, so i just made this dummy account to tinker around myself. Btw, do you know this stuff, according to #SumedhShinde, my friend, Mali g72 mp3 on A50 scores higher than adreno 612 on RN7pro.
When i asked him how is that even possible, he said its due to BigLittle cores with HiAi bifrost implemented by Galaxy A50 for mali g72 mp3.
I was shocked as to how can Adreno 612 be weaker than Mali G72 mp3.
So he provided with his image proof wherein Mali g72 mp3 gpu beats Adreno 612 on Rn7pro.
That's the reason he said pubg is availbe @HDR pre on A50 unlike Rn7pro.
Here's the proof given by him,

Ik I'm on wrong thread, but still.
Portrait and night sight will never work in gcam without enabling cam2api.I have tried this version of GCam mod on my galaxy A50 and its working nice though potret and night sight not working but all other features are working fine. Even you can change the settings as per your requirement. This mod is developed for Galaxy S10 but working with A50 also. Hope potret and night sight also work in near future.

Though you have not clearly said what do you mean by "never work in gcam without enabling cam2api", Camera 2 API is enable in Galaxy A50 wilth "Limited" access which means The phone supports only some of the features of Camera2 API.Yes, I know about that GPU stuff and open gl and vulkan support is better on A50 than note 7 pro.

Portrait and night sight will never work in gcam without enabling cam2api.
Sorry, my bad. Should've mentioned that. For portrait and night sight in gcam, you need level 3. If you enable it using ADB, you can try Arnova's universal gcam port; it will be mostly perfect.Though you have not clearly said what do you mean by "never work in gcam without enabling cam2api", Camera 2 API is enable in Galaxy A50 wilth "Limited" access which means The phone supports only some of the features of Camera2 API.
You need to do is download a simple app called Camera2 API probe from the Google Play Store and run the app. It will show two sections: Camera ID: 0 and Camera ID: 1. The first one represents the rear camera and the second one represents the selfie camera.
Result: A50 supports Camera2 API with "Limited" access.
Types of access mentioned below -
Level-3 – The manufacturer of the device has added some additional features to the camera hardware including YUV reprocessing, RAW image capture, and more.
Full – The smartphone fully supports all major capabilities of the Camera2 API.
Limited – The phone supports only some of the features of Camera2 API.
Legacy – Your phone only supports the Camera1 API features. So, no support for Camera2 API.
How to enable camera2api using ADB in samsung a50Sorry, my bad. Should've mentioned that. For portrait and night sight in gcam, you need level 3. If you enable it using ADB, you can try Arnova's universal gcam port; it will be mostly perfect.
Also, these ports are not force closing because limited support is there (at least).
