Google Camera Mod Thread for OnePlus 5/T [OFFICIAL]

Hi Marko! Following are my observations -

• Using the latest APK by Tolyan (MGC_5.3.015_B-S-G-based_v.1.0.9_fix_TlnNeun.apk) - Without the modified camera libraries module (i.e. with the stock/untouched camera libraries from OOS OB17), front camera capture doesn't work at all during HDR and portrait mode (pink lines across the whole photo), back camera works fine with HDR and portrait mode (but images have very few dots, barely visible, but still there)
• Using the Pixel2Mod APK by you (GoogleCamera-Pixel2Mod-Arnova8G2-V8.1.apk) - Without the modified camera libraries module (i.e. with the stock/untouched camera libraries from OOS OB17), front camera capture doesn't work at all during HDR and portrait mode (pink lines across the whole photo), back camera works fine only after enabling the setting to remove pink tint with HDR and portrait mode (but images have very few dots, barely visible, but still there)
• Using the Pixel2Mod APK by you (GoogleCamera-Pixel2Mod-Arnova8G2-V8.1.apk) - With the modified camera libraries module that you sent for testing, the app crashes instantly after opening. I captured a log of the crash (tried two times, crashed both times) and am attaching the same here for you reference.

Unfortunately there haven't been any reports of this dark vignette that you're talking about by anyone else, so I doubt it can be worked upon (provided it is not just an issue with your setup).

If you're unrooted, I recommend installing Arnova8G2's Pixel2Mod v8.1 (direct link here) and using it, making sure that the option to remove the pink tint is on under Settings --> Advanced --> Fix Camera API2 --> Remove pink tint on all camera. This will fix back camera's HDR capture if you're unrooted. Good luck! :good:

Actually I have dark vignette at the edges as well with rooted OOS 5.1.5, dot fix, and gcam v8.1.

is quite noticeable and I've heard another user complaining about this. Sadly the 8.1 also has the same dark vignette problem for me. .. As for know the latest version that hasn't this problem is 7-beta 9.

Does anyone have any idea how one can get Gcam into work without google play services installed? all give a FC. The apk from play store works without services but is not modded.

Not yet. There have been major changes to the camera HAL in the latest Open Betas, so a 1:1 porting of the modifications that were being done earlier is not possible.

For those who want to use this camera without root, use arnova's v6 port. Working suprisingly good on open beta 17. And that dot pattern is not that noticeable.

When I take videos, regardless of 30FPS or 60FPS, the videos are zoomed in ann the image is distorted. It looks elongated. I disabled video stablilization as well so not sure why it's still doing that. Also taking photos with flash results in a purple photo. I checked @shadowstep's summary post but I didn't see an answer there.

Anyone know why having lib fix installed causes the "double tap power button to open camera", to revert back to opening stock camera app instead of gcam, works fine for a little while then starts opening stock camera app, uninstall lib fix and then it will open gcam

Always defaulted to stock cam for me after the first reboot. I don't think the lib fix has anything to do with that. It's just how oxygen is is designed to work.

• Stock OOS camera's front portrait mode doesn't break anymore and works alongside Google Camera -- thanks to @MrAimenify for figuring out the hex edits for this!
