Looks like the version I installed is from 2015. I wonder why that is. I installed it today.

Google : Google Camera Play Store. Download the apk. It doesn't have the HDR.

Definitely see a big improvement over the clarity. Just don't tap the screen to focus and you should be fine. With a few more tweaks, this phone can definitely compete with other cameras.

This is a screenshot from the Play Store version. HDR is enabled.

HDR+ is normally only for Google phones. HDR+ is not ordinary HDR, booth Samsung and HTC is using similar solutions to up the quality of their cameras.

Use a file explorer and replace the file, set the correct permissions, and restart the device.

I am getting parsing error while trying to install it on my Oneplus 5 with Oxygen OS 4.5.8./

Hello,
The Photo quality improves a lot with Pixel camera but I'm having a weird bug when I take a picture of a big surface with one colour. I get this strange pattern. I differs a bit depending on the colour. Look at the sample picture. Already tried to clean cache of the app. Any further advices?

When I tap on the screen to focus the camera I can not take any pictures, but it works great without manual focussing. Does this problem occur to more of you? More importantly, does anyone know how to fix this?
