The folder structure should be something like this:

Note how the GCam folder is on the same level as the Download or Document folder.

Lately, non of the Google Camera apks have been working on my 5T. I've always had no issues with Arnova's variants but whenever I try to install GCam I get a message saying 'Camera stopped working'. I'm rooted and have tried the Magisk modules and other troubleshooting from the FAQ.

That's the reason, all latest 6.1 based GCam working only on Pie, use 5.1, 5.2 or 5.3 based one.
And don't use dotfix 3.0, it's for Pie too, use 2.5 instead

I've tested this app, it's definitely not for OP5 (not tested with OP5T).
After playing with the settings, I managed to get the normal camera mode working with HDR+ Enhanced, and in my opinion, it's better than the compatible version ported by Urnyx05, but only in this specific mode. After my settings, it doesn't have that darker area in the middle of the picture, which is a bit noticeable with these new versions. However, Portrait mode is not working at all, no slow-motion, NightSight is broken too, so there's not much point using this version, meant for the OP6.

I read an article talking about Google camera on oneplus 6t that isn't superior to stock camera. What about oneplus 5? Maybe the hdr enhance is like a mini photoshop and we lose the real photo?

Like 70% time I prefer good/middle light condition photos taken from stock camera than gcam hrd+ photos. But in low light gcam in far better than stock one.

I dont agree with that idea. Even on daylight conditions gcam is doing better job. And it's far far better if you test portrait mode between 3.6 urny and ooscam

Note:I'm on stock locked bootloader

By step:
1. Device - OnePlus 5t Rooted stock beta 23.
2. Libs for android installed
3. Settings XML in the folder
4. Install and start last version camera.

Completely agree with you. I've been trying different conditions with both cameras amd almost every time gcam takes better pictures. I remembered one that was daylight, it was at the back of a hospital. The shot included part of the building and also the sky. The gcam show so much detail that stock did not. The clouds were sharp and defined while in stock you could not see the edges of the clouds. It was like a big mess. That is just my opinion maby others prefer stock?
