Have you have configured the double press start for any camera? After installing a new camera app, the double press should prompt you to select which app you want to use.Is there a way to start GCam with double power button press ?
I think I figured it out. You can't have the OOS cam and Gcam at the same time. I've wiped both apps and reinstalled only the Gcam. I've taken a bunch of test pictures since yesterday and I haven't had a single issue. So is it possible that every single person here who had this problem also had the OOS cam installed?I had LOS native camera and gcam. I only noticed problems with the later one. I uninstalled gcam, because I didn't get it working. The LOS native camera seems to be working.
Just to add my findings.I think I figured it out. You can't have the OOS cam and Gcam at the same time. I've wiped both apps and reinstalled only the Gcam. Yeah you're right. It was working the whole day but I've tried a second ago and the problem is back. So i guess we have to wait for a build that fixes the issue?Just to add my findings.
I am currently running March 6th Los 16. Gcam is working as expected. From March 12th and onwards Gcam stops saving pics after a couple of shots. I haven't tried the build between 6 and 12 of March.
When I was on later builds, I had only Gcam installed and no other camera. The only way to make it work is roll back to March 6th build.
You can find more people with this issue in Lineage os telegram channel found in the OP of LineageOs thread in this sub forum
Even on March 6th build? I am using that for 2 weeks now. Not a single issueYeah you're right. It was working the whole day but I've tried a second ago and the problem is back. So i guess we have to wait for a build that fixes the issue?
Nah I am still on 20190326. Can I do a dirty flash rollback?Even on March 6th build? I am using that for 2 weeks now. Not a single issue
I guess. During my testing I did a dirty flash from a recent build to the March 6th to confirm that it fixes the issueNah I am still on 20190326. Can I do a dirty flash rollback?
Are you still on 9.0.4 firmware or did you do a rollback to 9.0.3?I guess. During my testing I did a dirty flash from a recent build to the March 6th to confirm that it fixes the issue
9.0.4Are you still on 9.0.4 firmware or did you do a rollback to 9.0.3?
What about the shutter button? Have you experienced any unusual delays or double-taps to make it work? I had this issue before. I really hope that the LOS devs are considering this as a bug that's worth fixing. The Snap camera is way too cluttered (even in the new version) and the picture quality doesn't come close to what you can achieve with the Gcam or even the stock oneplus camera.9.0.4
I haven't had OOS camera installed ever. But I'll try updating LOS and wiping the camera apps.I think I figured it out. You can't have the OOS cam and Gcam at the same time. I've wiped both apps and reinstalled only the Gcam. I've taken a bunch of test pictures since yesterday and I haven't had a single issue. Then install a new camera app. Any app. (even twitter / snapchat) then try triggering the camera via double tap.No i Can just enable it in settings. It automatically launch default op camera without any prompt to select different.
which one is which? You see ? That worse one is GCAM and I don't know why.
Try to uninstall the module and install it againI have installed the new 4.0 fix from here https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/op5fix/
(I followed the instructions and deinstalled the v3.0 and rebooted before installation of 4.0)
I use MGC_6.1.021_BSG_Arnova-TlnNeun_Urnyx05-v4.3.apk with 1.4 xml.
Now I have again the dot pattern and the images show vignetting.
4.0 not supported yet? But then why is it linked?
