These builds all have a very choppy viewfinder on my 6T with either default settings or using the 1.4 XML.

Is there a toggle I need to flip somewhere in the settings to fix this? Arnova's 1.4 Advanced build does the same thing until I use the 6T XML, so I feel like there must be a setting affecting this behavior.

Using weeb kernel with lineage solved the issue with gcam here.
I also solved the lineageos+gcam problem (it freezes after taking two pictures and needs reboot) flashing the custom variant of the weeb kernel from https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-5/development/kernel-weeb-kernel-t3847996.

Sadly it did't fix a problem that I thought that was related, when using Open Camera and raw images are enabled it starts taking green pictures after some shots. Now pictures are not green but images are not saved. That might also be related to the dot pattern libs fix messing with raw generation. Anyway, raw images from the gcam seems to be fine :D

Hi everyone - updated my summary post. :) Changes include:
Updated DotFix zip to v4.1 (changes include the base camera libraries from OOS OB29/27 for OP5/5T based on Android Pie -- thanks @Arnova8G2)
Updated recommended version for rooted users to @Urnyx05's latest version, v4.4.

Hi,

I can not make photos without HDR+ on v4.4. Is there anything that I can do about it?
I'm on OOS 9.0.4 + Magisk + op5fix modules.
Thanks.

Hello everyone,
I have GCam 6.1.021 and I can't seem to manage to make portrait to work for objects.

Any suggestions?

This is because Gcam is using 1 camera and the depth effect is software created. Gcam software can detect a human face, but can't detect the position of an object in space, as per the actual coding.

OPcam's using both camera to get a real depth effect (a bit like human eye that can get a 3d understanding of the environment) , so it will work on any kind of object that can be focused on a certain distance. Unfortunately, image processing is not as good as Gcam.

Hello!
Three questions:

1. is it necessary to use the dotfix on OOS 9.0.4? I haven't taken a picture with that problem since the phone was updated to Pie and portrait HDR+ works perfectly on both cameras without the fix using Arnova's v8.3b1 - Gcam 5.

2. Is the fix on Pie (OOS 9.0.4) only necessary for Gcam 6, or does version 5 benefit from it as well? ('cause again, I've not seen any issue with version 5).

3. I've used every latest GCam 6 (recently tried Arnova's Advanced 1.5 - Gcam 6) but its performance just seems to be way below Arnova's v8.3b1 (Gcam 5) and when you focus using the flash, the pictures are just terribly overblown and end up just white. Why?

Gcam on pixel uses the Dual Pixel Autofocus As Two Cameras to get portrait even on non human objects, unfortunately the required libs dont work on other phones so only software bokeh

New version of GCam 6.1.021 is out!

Changelog:
- Fixed front crash in NS on Mi8
- Added an option to change the folder where to save portrait photos
- Replaced Savitar lib with sRGB b2
- Replaced XLib v2 with v2S

Here is the link:
https://mega.nz/#!0noREACT!lQBXD-mINnlCjtlEI_MKb8xBLIIBLdqpLoItrir50vo

I'm working on GCam 6.2 based on BSG, too. But, at the moment, it's still pretty buggy and unstable. So, I'm trying to fix most of the bugs.

Usually the website, https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-urnyx05/#apk711

mention the device name like this:
MGC_6.1.021_BSG_Arnova-TlnNeun_Urnyx05-v4.4.apk (Urnyx05, 2019-04-09, op3/3t/5/5t/6/6t, changelog)

But this time, it is like this(without name of device):
MGC_6.1.021_BSG_Arnova-TlnNeun_Urnyx05-v4.5.apk (Urnyx05, 2019-04-20, changelog)

Question: Is this update (i.e v4.5) is for OnePlus 5?
