As far as I know, the last version of stock camera app that has all the features working for OP5/5T is v3.4.25. Any version newer than this has issues with Histogram in Pro Mode and Portrait Mode doesn't work 100% of the time. Can someone suggest the latest OnePlus camera that can work on Stock OOS 10 OP5?
I'm currently on 3.10.22 and can see 4.x and 5.x in apkmirror
Start afresh. Uninstall DotFix and GCam. Reboot. Install DotFix. Reboot. Install GCam. Reboot. Clear data of GCam and give all permissions to GCam before launching it for the first time. Open GCam. Profit.Gcam is continuously crashing for me when I install dotfix. I'm using Nikita's gcam. Anyone else facing the same issues ?
Try to set SELinux to Permissive.I'm using ArrowOS. This is the log I'm getting at the time of crash.

Disable "OpenGL Preview" in Advanced> ExperimentalI'm using latest recommended version for Rooted OP5 on Oxygen OS but when rotating the phone to landscape mode, UI rotates but the image visualizer gets buggy and shows horizontal image on vertical display. Pictures seem to be correctly taken but it gets very difficult to see what the camera sees. Is there any solution for this problem?
I suggest you use the latest XML (Nik 1.5.xml) instead of the old non root XML. Once loaded, just change one option: Settings -> Advanced -> Experimental -> Enable Pixel Binning. That should work.Anyone experiencing a dark vignette on Nikita's version photos? If so is there a way to fix that? Because, other than that, photos look great!
(Latest Nikita Gcam, OP5, non-rooted, using nonroot.xml)
For those not using any gapps and wanting to use this gcam, get Gcam Services Provider. The .apk file is even smaller than 1MB, yet it made a difference between app crashing on start and working flawlessly (AFAIK). It think this should be mentioned in the main post (maybe even on other devices), so that some people won't have to subject themselves to hours of research and experimentation.
