Hi everyone - updated my summary post. :) Changes include an update to DotFix, and new a recommended version for rooted users.

Changelog for DotFix v5.6:
  • Significantly reduced size of the zip by compressing libraries
  • Added fix for Portrait Mode and Night Sight not working on OxygenOS 10.0
Note For Android 10 Custom ROM Users Only: Please make sure that your ROM is using blobs from OOS/H2OS 10.0. If your ROM is using blobs from OOS/H2OS 9.x, then stick to v5.3 and do NOT update.

Note For Everyone: The module is no longer available in Magisk Repo. The latest version of the module will always be linked in my summary post and the Telegram Group.

Can someone suggest the latest OnePlus camera that can work on Stock OOS 10 OP5?

I'm currently on 3.10.22 and can see 4.x and 5.x in apkmirror

As far as I know, the last version of stock camera app that has all the features working for OP5/5T is v3.4.25. Any version newer than this has issues with Histogram in Pro Mode and Portrait Mode doesn't work 100% of the time.

Gcam is continuously crashing for me when I install dotfix. I'm using Nikita's gcam. Anyone else facing the same issues ?
Start afresh. Uninstall DotFix and GCam. Reboot. Install DotFix. Reboot. Install GCam. Reboot. Clear data of GCam and give all permissions to GCam before launching it for the first time. Open GCam. Profit.

new version is working well !

On the previous android 10, I always had blurry picture ( small movement while pressing the shutter button). The shutter speed was slower than the android 9 version for sure.

Now it seems to be fixed, picture are crisp.

I'm using latest recommended version for Rooted OP5 on Oxygen OS but when rotating the phone to landscape mode, UI rotates but the image visualizer gets buggy and shows horizontal image on vertical display. Pictures seem to be correctly taken but it gets very difficult to see what the camera sees. Is there any solution for this problem?

Disable "OpenGL Preview" in Advanced> Experimental

hello guys, I wanna install dotfix on my oneplus 5t (OOS 10.0.0) but I want to edit the system as minimal as possible.

So I unlocked bootloader and flashed twrp. Then I opened recovery and REFUSED system modifications.

Here are my doubts:

1. Can I install Dotfix v5.6 TWRP zip WITHOUT enabling system modifications?
2. If I enable system modifications, will my banking apps and google pay stop working?
3. Would it be better to install magisk and enable dotfix from there?

Thanks in advance.

Edit: I noticed Google pay is already not working, I guess magisk is the way to go...

Anyone experiencing a dark vignette on Nikita's version photos? If so is there a way to fix that? Because, other than that, photos look great!

(Latest Nikita Gcam, OP5, non-rooted, using nonroot.xml)

I suggest you use the latest XML (Nik 1.5.xml) instead of the old non root XML. Once loaded, just change one option: Settings -> Advanced -> Experimental -> Enable Pixel Binning. That should work.

FYI: The only difference between root and non-root XMLs is that Pixel Binning toggle. It should be enabled if you're non-rooted, and not-enabled if you're rooted (which is the default behaviour in the XMLs Nikita shares, and hence they're for rooted phones with DotFix installed).

Update from Nikita: GCam 7.4 v1.5

- NGCam_7.4.104-v1.5 (2020-08-31, configs)
For those not using any gapps and wanting to use this gcam, get Gcam Services Provider. The .apk file is even smaller than 1MB, yet it made a difference between app crashing on start and working flawlessly (AFAIK). It think this should be mentioned in the main post (maybe even on other devices), so that some people won't have to subject themselves to hours of research and experimentation.
