Google camera not working.

Hey, I got a Mi A1 with crdroid, twrp and magisk running and HAL3 enabled in build.prop
When i startup google camera it keeps stopping.

Is it possible that there are some files missing, i always install stuff (modules, roms, kernels etc). but later i delete everything and then format everything. I want to keep using this rom so i did a clean install.
- boot into twrp
- wipe everything
- format everything
- boot bootloader
- fastboot recovery.img
- flash crdroid
- flash twrp
- reboot into twrp
- flash gapps-stock
- flash magisk

Its probably just a spelling error. You don't need to edit the build.prop file. Just run a root shell command - setprop persist.camera.HAL3.enabled 1 and you're all set.

I think most (all?) of the popular custom roms have camera2api enabled by default so you needn't do a setprop in the first place.
Otherwise on stock rom, all I did was a setprop and a reboot to get it enabled.
Did you try using one of the more stable gcam mod like GoogleCamera-Pixel2Mod-Arnova8G2-V8? Some other mods might not work.

I don't know enough to answer that. You might want to ask in the Crdroid thread or Varben's Q&A thread.

Edit: now that I reread the thread, since you are in custom rom, I would suggest you try a module that enables permisive kernel.
