OP do you mind kindly sharing your settings. You'd know what's best seeing that you created this port. Thanks!

Seems hit or miss. I've tried a few different settings now and honestly I can't see much differences. I have had it freeze the phone randomly tho if taking too many pics on super hdr+ mode though. I am leaving it on default for now.

Is anyone able to use slo motion without it crashing?

Been messing with the settings,

Things I've noticed change;

Colours
Over all sharpness
Noise levels
Speed the photo is taken

What are the settings we should use? Anyone?
I haven't tried v1.5 just yet. I found that on 1.4, best settings for me were Model as Pixel XL(corr), config camera HDR+ as Pixel 2017 ZSL HDR+, with HDR+ parameters on Super High. Final quality was set to 100%. HDR auto, the pictures were taken with ZSL, they looked phenomenal, almost no processing time. Not sure how much all that will change with 1.5 with these same settings :/ so sorry if I'm no help.

To keep the nav bar from overlapping in review, check the camera.use_photos box in the developer's settings.

I cannot seem to get the HDR to process on 1.5 with your settings. Maybe thats what you said its super fast? ;)

You should see the processing spinner if you click the photo quickly after shooting it.

Thanks for the tip on the `camera.use_photos`.

No problem!

So when you have manual HDR control enabled, you will be able to select HDR+ (enhanced.) With the way HDR shooting was updated, I think Google or someone else explained back when they improved the regular Google Camera app in prep for the Pixel 2, the camera takes less actual shots for combining on the standard setting (HDR auto.) This is why it has zero shutter lag and no noticeable processing time, the first of which I experienced on Camera NX, when they brought the extra HDR features and the like to my Nexus 5X. If you choose HDR+, you will see the processing circle you're talking about; if you do this with enough light (not flash) it will even be ZSL. This also happens even on HDR auto, with flash on (I assume because the camera forces the extra shots, knowing there is sufficient light from the flash, but I don't really know.) Generally before, when conditions were met on HDR auto (having enough light maybe?) a check mark would appear in the HDR circle. I haven't seen this as of yet. All that said, my photos are still coming out amazing - at least better than the stock camera. I updated to 1.5 and everything stayed golden, but of course (not complaining! lol) there's a new version for today.

edit: So I just noticed... on HDR auto, the processing circle isn't there because if you click on the photo right away, it's actually in your notification bar with a camera icon for maybe 1-2 seconds. Pulling it down in time does show it processing! :D

Since all of us I'm assuming got the friends and family code, I'm assuming some of us are going to get the 360 (like myself). Is there going to be any 360 support from this port. I know Google camera obviously don't have a 360 camera so it's not like you can tweak a few thing and get it over. I'm wondering will there be maybe like an add on feature that will support it.

For anybody interested, the best settings I found for V1.4 (4.0.020) for me was one on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/essential/comments/73j3oe/google_camera_settings/
Model: Nexus 6P
Support level override: NEXUS_2015
Supported HW Level Back Camera: Limited
Supported HW Level Front Camera: Level_3
Config camera: Pixel 2017 (DR Dogfood)
Buffers size: 15 (Optimal)
Total imagereader image count: 14 (AllPixel+AllExp)
hdr+ burst frame count: 8 (Nexus 6)
Calculation hdr+ imagereader image count: Pixel, PixelXL

It allows me to be very near of my Nexus 6p, but overall the PH-1 is a little bit less sharp and have a slight yellow hue.
(first of each pair is the PH-1, the second the Nexus 6p)

I don't have all the settings being mentioned when I install version 1.4 such as hardware level or Nexus 2015
