Type 1 tested Working fine.

First install from market
then clear data and uninstall Map
then push file to system/app, some time you need to clear cache 1-2 times.
I am using same method type 1.

Push file thru adb or can we use root explorer??

As soon as i uninstall the app using titanium backup. And copy the maps.apk and set permission the icons for maps or unknown application are not present

Although I am rooted, I am using method 3 because it is the easiest to implement and works fine. It would be great if you could update it also!

I've been using this mode version for long time and successfully installed it on galaxy tab, however I can't install it on HTC legend, I think it is the Arm 6 processor is the problem however the stock app works

Still doesnt work.
I had market map installed. Went into recovery and flash the zip. Went smothe. Rebooted but still maps didnt had navigation.
So i uninstalled the maps and the again flashed this recovery. Now i do not see maps.

Damn, I have just downloaded Option 1 file from the mirror, installed by instructions, rebooted, tested Navigation, got happy how nice it works and....5 minutes later Google Maps automatically updated itself from market to v 6.10.0 but build 610002003, whereas the one I have downloaded was build 610002002. How unlucky, eh
