My work computer has chrome and is never signed in with my gmail. Yet -- searches show up. Can't explain.

Google knows all. Let's just go with that...

Im thinking the same thing lol.
Hi,

I've tried your suggestion. Thanks for your help.

Unfortunately although your solution works to a degree it isn't very elegant.. It doesn't really work. IF you turn off web history then you get no suggestions at all.

It's a bit like stopping sunburn by never going outside.

I don't find seeing the searches from my wife's phone as a problem, more something intriguing.

Thanks again for your input.

I am not alone! Thanks for the reply!

You think it is Verizon doing this not Google? Either way it seems like a big breach in privacy that should be addressed. I have 5 phones attached to the family plan and I will be taking a look at another phone to see if it has it as well. I am the primary phone on the account so it may be be somehow related to that.

I agree it is definitely related to Chrome app browser. I forgot chrome is a separate entity from Google Now.

What do we do about it?
Hi, I don't think it's verizon causing the problem. This started happening today to my husband and I. Neither of us have Verizon. I have an iPhone with AT&T and he has an android phone with metro pcs. It's been happening ALL day.

heh, just got back on xda for something else and saw this. If I remember correctly (it was a year ago after all), I had signed in to gmail through safari on her iphone since I didn't want to log her out of her gmail app. After I logged out of gmail on safari, our searches were no longer synced.

Okay so I have a very strange thing to report regarding Google Now:

My wife has the Galaxy S3 and I have the Note 2 on Verizon. My wife this week noticed that when opening Google Now the recent search history is displaying MY personal searches along with her own searches!

The phones are not connected in anyway at all and HER Google Now is displaying MY searches. I noticed it only occurs for searches that I am doing while out on the 4G LTE network, and is not picking up any of my local WIFI searches. I can be out 20 miles away from her and she will receive my mobile searches under the Google Now search history.

This is extremely odd and somewhat creepy at the same time. I have no connection to her phone via any accounts and everything is her own accounts.

What is this issue? Anyone familiar with it? Google is almost impossible to contact so I do not know what to do about it...

PS: I am rooted etc running Beans Build 14 and she is on complete stock no root S3 touchwiz.
Same problem here it's enraging and illegal on Google's end. My wife is pissed about what she found pop up in her phone.

Wow.. What a terrible thing to make this concern out to be! My children's Ipad is doing this search history exchange with my LG android and it IS a problem because NOBODY gave consent for this sync. Its soooo not ok, and to assume that breaching privacy is because you are hiding something is ridiculous!

Having same issue. My boyfriend and I both have an SG Stylo 2's on Boost service. Have completely separate Google accounts and have never signed onto each others phones for any reason. Yet his Google searches are showing up in my history, but only when he's on the road in his truck. It's not really am issue, just really curious because my searches don't show up in his history. And again, it's only when he's on the road, anywhere from the next county to the next state over. I didnt notice this happening until he had to use my hot spot last month until payday to add money to his account. But other than that, nothing on the phones have ever been connected, including chrome or gmail wise.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that saw this as concerning, lol. Stop hiding stuff from your SO (minus cute surprises, y'all keep that **** up ;) )

I'm curious as to what's going on because it can be a sign of privacy intrusion. Obviously no permissions were given here, especially when 2 completely separate phones and accounts are linking themselves for unclear reasons. Neither me or my boyfriend see it as an issue. It's just intriguing to us.
