Has anyone tried putting Google Now on the Razr HD? It can be run on ICS. I have had some trouble getting it to run properly.
Has anyone else given it a try?

P3droid is working or finished a recoveryNo, it doesn't come stock. It comes stock in Jelly Bean, not ICS. There is a way to get it working on ICS but I can't get out to work on this phone. I also don't want to try anything too crazy until recovery is developed so I can Nandroid.
Forgot what it's like to not have a nexus phone...lol.

I thought I read that too. P3 always comes out with these hacks so quickly. He'll probably have a Jelly Bean release soon enough. Recovery will be nice, so we can play around and know we have a nandroid. Also, with recovery, themes and roms are not too far off.P3droid is working or finished a recovery

Here's the thread, and for all the weak at heart, they even have an app that will do the total install for you.Has anyone tried putting Google Now on the Razr HD? It can be run on ICS. I have had some trouble getting it to run properly.

And you have the Razr HD? Don't we need a recovery in order to install it? I'll try the manual route and report back. Here's the thread, and for all the weak at heart, they even have an app that will do the total install for you.
I did the manual install and it works flawlessly!

I'm on the kissing cousin of the Razor HD, the Atrix HD, we don't have recovery yet either, I'm on a stock, rooted, odexed ROM, and the manual method worked great for me. Like I said, "Flawless". If you read through the thread, you'll see some that have installed on odexed ROMs with no problems. The OP stated that while it will work on an odexed ROM, he hasn't tested it out on one.And you have the Razr HD? Don't we need a recovery in order to install it? I just read through the post and it says we have to be on a deodexed rom. I am on stock, rooted. Is that what worked for you?
Hmm just finished the manual install on my nephews Razr HD without a hitch, works perfect!?!Ok....hold off on this Razr owners. I tried installing manually and it installs, but force closes whenever I try to use it. I'm hoping to find a fix and assuming I do, I'll post it. If anyone installs without issue on the Razr, please let me know.
Can you tell me whose version did you download? Or maybe just shoot me the link for it, if you don't mind. Maybe I need to try a different one. Thanks a lot for the quick feedback.Hmm just finished the manual install on my nephews Razr HD without a hitch, works perfect!?!

V7. First one on the list. Just download the file, it's made to flash via cwm, but just install as per the manual instructions. Can you tell me whose version did you download? I don't know what the hell I'm not doing. I tried the first version and got same result...lots of FCs. Maybe I'll just have to wait for this phone to get the Bean update. Hopefully it won't be too long.V7. First one on the list. Just download the file, it's made to flash via cwm, but just install as per the manual instructions.

If you can think of anything that I may be doing wrong please feel free to ask.
I followed it but I must have made a mistake at some point. And if I try to go back, Google Search is totally gone. The step by step instructions are right there bro. Did you set your permissions correctly on the files and folders per the instructions?
Once you set your permissions, reboot, and you should be golden.

If you followed the directions step by step, you should only need to rename your googlesearch apk back to it's original name.I followed it but I must have made a mistake at some point. And if I try to go back, Google Search is totally gone.

I went in and cleared data. It started up and I was so happy. It took me through the set up. Once I selected that I was in, force close. Arhhh! If you followed the directions step by step, you should only need to rename your googlesearch apk back to it's original name.
Maybe you should wait for a recovery so all you have to do is flash it

I did the manual install, and its working perfect. Also, could you share the quickview widgets from the Atrix? It's very easy, and painless if you follow the VERY simple instructions to the letter.
