Question Google Phone: turn off answering by voice

I only have Google, and Telephone.

These are the things that drive me crazy!!! As a 50 year old sw engineer with 25 years experience, these kind of inconsistent bugs across users/devices are very annoying :-(

I have disabled the feature.

I have now
- Google v 14.21.13.29
- Google Play Services v 23.18.19

Yeah, similar background here, but not much Android/Linux work, other platforms.
You can certainly debug this, in a more succinct manner, but it's much more involved.

I do see where this could be annoying, but I bet there's some weird old app, acquiring/acquired (depending) its permissions through some obscure method, that's where my money is anyway...
