Google+ Photos as Gallery Replacement Sucks

i mean i was complaining about the new stock app. you're suggesting something that's not the stock app. i did lots of googling and am well versed in the alternatives i've found and what was suggested here. does not change the fact that the stock app sucks. not really crying either. i find your hostility odd...

This is the thing that bugs me about Android. They got rid of perfectly good standalone apps and want to tie everything in with their services.

I don't want Play Music -- I want to go right to my songs and playlist with one click.
I don't want Photos App -- for the same reasons above.
I don't want Email to be bundled in with Gmail.

It's getting to the point where soon I will have to replace all of the built in apps with apps that simply work better.

OMG you said it brother! This is one of the big things that is bugging me about this phone. I always ran more pure ROMs on my Sammy phones and I thought it would be nice to get a Nexus so I could get that stock but then they go and mess with perfectly GOOD apps and give us this crap.

Does anyone from Google read these forums I wonder? I hope they are listening because it seems to me that people like us are going to be the core buyers of Nexus devices and I see tons of us have the same complaints.

Sammy phones are marketed to people who don't even really know what ROOT is which is why I moved away from Samsung to the current Nexus. Samsung didn't care about people like us, I hope Google listens.

Then again it is a Nexus device, half the fun is tweaking.

Try the moto gallery. You have to flash it via recovery but it works great! There's an OP with a link to download it somewhere I'm this section. If you need I can link it here.

Would be nice if you could choose Album as default and if it had file moving options. As it stands, QuickPic is MUCH better.

Yeah I know, I like quick pic but I prefer the standard editing tools in the moto one.

So I was running out of storage on my phone, and I saw this 'free up space' option on Google photos app which deletes all photos from your device that are already saved to Google photos. So I did that and then realized that it was a big mistake. So now I wanted to undo what I just did (put my photos back in the device) and I can't seem to find out how I could do that.
Is there a possible way to send all my photos from google photos back to my device?
Please help ?

Why is that a big mistake? They're safe in the cloud and now you have extra storage space.

Yes but I want them on both my devise and on Google photos, but now I don't have those same photos on my device. Do you now how to copy all those photos back to my devise?
