Thanks for the advice. I'll definitely ensure that from now on, it is in mail. I'll also start doing the recording.

Currently, I'm already on a custom ROM with bootloader unlocked. Unfortunately, because of the data transfer problem, I'm not able to flash the stock google images and lock the bootloader. Is there any way to do that, for a device when data transfer doesn't work?
Didn't they give you the device back with a factory reset settings??

Actually, the only thing which seems to have happened on software side, seems to be that the PIN was now set. Apart from that, it is still on Pixel Dust ROM, which was the same ROM I've been using for many months (since Android 9/Pie). I've not been able to switch back to google ROM, or lock my bootloader because of the data transfer not working.

Meanwhile, I've gotten a mail from the google support team, where they have confirmed the same:

"I would like to confirm that the device will be repaired free of cost and returned with full working condition. Please confirm the details so that I can go ahead and book a B2X ticket for you."

I'm thinking based on this, I can actually go ahead and ask them to book a B2X ticket. I'll also ensure that, I'll take video of the device again, and of the field technician collecting the device, so that I have proof this time also.

Jio VoWifi is working for me on my rooted device. Made some file modifications ofcourse as wifi calling isn't visible in settings by default.
Haven't tried Airtel VoWifi yet.

I have jio sim and airtel broadband
Can you tell how do i get wifi calling option in stock rom?
Rooted?

If yes,

modify /data/user_de/0/com.android.phone/files/carrierconfig-com.android.carrierconfig-XXXXXXXXXXX.xml
(I know this can be done via build.prop edit too, but I prefer it this way)

Add:
<boolean name="carrier_wfc_supports_wifi_only_bool" value="true" />
<boolean name="carrier_wfc_ims_available_bool" value="true" />
(1st entry is optional I guess. 2nd one is the important one)

Edit:
<boolean name="editable_wfc_mode_bool" value="false" />
to
<boolean name="editable_wfc_mode_bool" value="true" />

Reboot. Go to settings and enable wifi calling. Select wifi calling mode as per your choice.

Check the file you modified. If the changes didn't stick, use another file manager.
If you've put another SIM in your device in the past, there would be multiple carrier files in that location. Check if you modified the xml for Jio.

There is only one file and changed are saved successfully

Try wifi preferred mode. Once you get wifi calling, wifi only mode will also start working. Atleast that's what happened with me.

It shouldn't matter but where did you add those lines?
I added it just below the VoLTE line
<boolean name="carrier_volte_available_bool" value="true" />

Post a screenshot of the file here if it still doesn't work
I added them in the last I'll try again

Okay so i have edited the file correctly and i chose call over wifi but it still charged me from my balance
Its not supposed to be like that right?

Have you guys ever experienced that you left your phone on charge and it charged only 10% or so in an hour and then you had to unplug it and plug it again for charging to work normally?
